1 Jotam war fünfundzwanzig Jahre alt, als er König wurde, und regierte sechzehn Jahre in Jerusalem. Seine Mutter hieß Jeruscha und war eine Tochter Zadoks.	1 Joatham was five and twenty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem: the name of his mother was Jerusa the daughter of Sadoc.
2 Er tat, was dem Herrn gefiel, genau wie sein Vater Usija, aber er drang nicht in den Tempel des Herrn ein. Das Volk jedoch handelte immer noch verkehrt.	2 And he did that which was right before the Lord, according to all that Ozias his father had done, only that he entered not into the temple of the Lord, and the people still transgressed.

5 führte Krieg mit dem König der Ammoniter und besiegte ihn. Die Ammoniter mussten ihm in jenem Jahr hundert Talente Silber, zehntausend Kor Weizen und zehntausend Kor Gerste abliefern. 9 Jotam entschlief zu seinen Vätern und man begrub ihn in der Davidstadt. Sein Sohn Ahas wurde König an seiner Stelle.	9 And Joatham slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city of David: and Achaz his son reigned in his stead.
