1 Die Söhne Rubens, des Erstgeborenen Israels: Ruben war der Erstgeborene. Da er aber das Bett seines Vaters entweiht hatte, wurde sein Erstgeburtsrecht den Söhnen Josefs, des Sohnes Israels, gegeben. Doch richten sich die Stammeslisten nicht nach dem Erstgeburtsrecht;	1 Now the sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel, (for he was the firstborn; but, forasmuch as he defiled his father's bed, his birthright was given unto the sons of Joseph the son of Israel: and the genealogy is not to be reckoned after the birthright.
2 Juda erlangte nämlich die Herrschaft über seine Brüder und einer aus ihm wurde der Fürst, obwohl das Erstgeburtsrecht bei Josef war.	2 For Judah prevailed above his brethren, and of him came the chief ruler; but the birthright was Joseph's:)
3 Die Söhne Rubens, des Erstgeborenen Israels, waren: Henoch, Pallu, Hezron und Karmi.	3 The sons, I say, of Reuben the firstborn of Israel were, Hannoch, and Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi.
4 Der Sohn Joëls war Schemaja, dessen Sohn Gog, dessen Sohn Schimi,	4 The sons of Joel; Shemaiah his son, Gog his son, Shimei his son,
5 dessen Sohn Micha, dessen Sohn Reaja, dessen Sohn Baal,	5 Micah his son, Reaia his son, Baal his son,
6 dessen Sohn Beera, den Tiglat-Pileser, der König von Assur, verschleppte. Er war der Anführer der Rubeniter.	6 Beerah his son, whom Tilgath-pilneser king of Assyria carried away captive: he was prince of the Reubenites.
7 Seine Brüder wurden, als sie sich nach ihren Geschlechterfolgen in die Stammeslisten eintragen ließen, seinen Familien zugezählt. Der erste war Jëiël, ihm folgte Secharja.	7 And his brethren by their families, when the genealogy of their generations was reckoned, were the chief, Jeiel, and Zechariah,
8 Bela war der Sohn des Asas, des Sohnes Schemas, des Sohnes Joëls. Die Rubeniter wohnten in Aroër bis Nebo und Baal-Meon.	8 And Bela the son of Azaz, the son of Shema, the son of Joel, who dwelt in Aroer, even unto Nebo and Baal-meon:
9 Ostwärts wohnten sie bis an den Rand der Steppe, die sich vom Eufrat her erstreckt; denn sie besaßen große Herden im Land Gilead.	9 And eastward he inhabited unto the entering in of the wilderness from the river Euphrates: because their cattle were multiplied in the land of Gilead.
10 In den Tagen Sauls führten sie Krieg mit den Hagaritern. Diese fielen in ihre Hand und sie besetzten ihre Zelte auf der ganzen Ostseite von Gilead.	10 And in the days of Saul they made war with the Hagarites, who fell by their hand: and they dwelt in their tents throughout all the east land of Gilead.
11 Die Nachkommen Gads wohnten ihnen gegenüber im Gebiet des Baschan bis Salcha.	11 And the children of Gad dwelt over against them, in the land of Bashan unto Salchah:
12 Ihr Oberhaupt war Joël; Schafam war der Zweite, dazu kamen Janai und Schafat; sie wohnten im Baschan.	12 Joel the chief, and Shapham the next, and Jaanai, and Shaphat in Bashan.
13 Ihre Brüder mit ihren Großfamilien waren Michael, Meschullam, Scheba, Jorai, Jakan, Sia und Eber, insgesamt sieben.	13 And their brethren of the house of their fathers were, Michael, and Meshullam, and Sheba, and Jorai, and Jachan, and Zia, and Heber, seven.
14 Das waren die Söhne Abihajils, des Sohnes Huris, des Sohnes Jaroachs, des Sohnes Gileads, des Sohnes Michaels, des Sohnes Jeschischais, des Sohnes Jachdos, des Sohnes des Bus: . . .	14 These are the children of Abihail the son of Huri, the son of Jaroah, the son of Gilead, the son of Michael, the son of Jeshishai, the son of Jahdo, the son of Buz;
15 Ahi, der Sohn Abdiëls, des Sohnes Gunis, war Haupt ihrer Großfamilien.	15 Ahi the son of Abdiel, the son of Guni, chief of the house of their fathers.
16 Sie wohnten in Gilead, im Baschan und seinen Tochterstädten und an allen Weideflächen Scharons bis zu ihren Ausläufern.	16 And they dwelt in Gilead in Bashan, and in her towns, and in all the suburbs of Sharon, upon their borders.
17 In den Tagen Jotams, des Königs von Juda, und in den Tagen Jerobeams, des Königs von Israel, wurden alle in die Stammeslisten eingetragen.	17 All these were reckoned by genealogies in the days of Jotham king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam king of Israel.
18 Die Krieger von Ruben, Gad und dem halben Stamm Manasse, Männer, die Schild und Schwert trugen, den Bogen spannten und im Kampf geübt waren, vierundvierzigtausendsiebenhundertsechzig Mann, die im Heer ausrückten,	18 The sons of Reuben, and the Gadites, and half the tribe of Manasseh, of valiant men, men able to bear buckler and sword, and to shoot with bow, and skilful in war, were four and forty thousand seven hundred and threescore, that went out to the war.
19 führten Krieg gegen die Hagariter und gegen Jetur, Nafisch und Nodab.	19 And they made war with the Hagarites, with Jetur, and Nephish, and Nodab.
20 Sie waren siegreich und konnten die Hagariter und deren Verbündete in ihre Gewalt bringen; denn sie schrien im Kampf zu Gott und dieser ließ sich erbitten, da sie auf ihn vertrauten.	20 And they were helped against them, and the Hagarites were delivered into their hand, and all that were with them: for they cried to God in the battle, and he was intreated of them; because they put their trust in him.
21 So führten sie deren Besitz weg: 50000 Kamele, 250000 Schafe und 2000 Esel, dazu 100000 Personen.	21 And they took away their cattle; of their camels fifty thousand, and of sheep two hundred and fifty thousand, and of asses two thousand, and of men an hundred thousand.
22 Viele Feinde wurden erschlagen und fielen, denn es war ein Krieg Gottes. Die Israeliten siedelten sich an ihrer Stelle an und blieben dort bis zur Verschleppung.	22 For there fell down many slain, because the war was of God. And they dwelt in their steads until the captivity.
23 Die Angehörigen des halben Stammes Manasse wohnten in dem Land, das vom Baschan bis Baal-Hermon, zum Senir und zum Hermongebirge reicht. Sie waren sehr zahlreich.	23 And the children of the half tribe of Manasseh dwelt in the land: they increased from Bashan unto Baal-hermon and Senir, and unto mount Hermon.
24 Und das waren die Häupter ihrer Großfamilien: Efer, Jischi, Eliël, Asriël, Jirmeja, Hodawja und Jachdiël. Sie waren tapfere Krieger, Männer von Namen, Häupter ihrer Großfamilien.	24 And these were the heads of the house of their fathers, even Epher, and Ishi, and Eliel, and Azriel, and Jeremiah, and Hodaviah, and Jahdiel, mighty men of valour, famous men, and heads of the house of their fathers.
25 Doch wurden sie dem Gott ihrer Väter untreu und gaben sich den Göttern der Landesbevölkerung hin, die Gott vor ihnen vertrieben hatte.	25 And they transgressed against the God of their fathers, and went a whoring after the gods of the people of the land, whom God destroyed before them.
26 Darum erweckte der Gott Israels den Geist Puls, des Königs von Assur, das heißt den Geist Tiglat-Pilesers, des Königs von Assur. Dieser führte die Rubeniter, die Gaditer und den halben Stamm Manasse in die Verbannung und brachte sie nach Halach, an den Habor, nach Hara und an den Fluss von Gosan. Dort sind sie bis zum heutigen Tag.	26 And the God of Israel stirred up the spirit of Pul king of Assyria, and the spirit of Tilgath-pilneser king of Assyria, and he carried them away, even the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh, and brought them unto Halah, and Habor, and Hara, and to the river Gozan, unto this day.
27 Die Söhne Levis waren: Gerschon, Kehat und Merari.
28 Die Söhne Kehats waren: Amram, Jizhar, Hebron und Usiël.
29 Die Kinder Amrams waren: Aaron, Mose und Mirjam. Die Söhne Aarons waren: Nadab, Abihu, Eleasar und Itamar.
30 Eleasar zeugte Pinhas, Pinhas zeugte Abischua,
31 Abischua zeugte Bukki, Bukki zeugte Usi,
32 Usi zeugte Serachja, Serachja zeugte Merajot,
33 Merajot zeugte Amarja, Amarja zeugte Ahitub,
34 Ahitub zeugte Zadok, Zadok zeugte Ahimaaz,
35 Ahimaaz zeugte Asarja, Asarja zeugte Johanan,
36 Johanan zeugte Asarja - dieser war es, der im Tempel, den Salomo in Jerusalem erbaute, das Priesteramt verwaltete - ,
37 Asarja zeugte Amarja, Amarja zeugte Ahitub,
38 Ahitub zeugte Zadok, Zadok zeugte Schallum,
39 Schallum zeugte Hilkija, Hilkija zeugte Asarja,
40 Asarja zeugte Seraja, Seraja zeugte Jozadak.
41 Jozadak zog fort, als der Herr Juda und Jerusalem durch Nebukadnezzar in die Verbannung führte.
