1 Die Israeliten nach ihrer Anzahl, die Familienhäupter, die Obersten der Tausend- und Hundertschaften und ihre Beamten dienten dem König in allen Angelegenheiten der Abteilungen, die Monat für Monat das ganze Jahr hindurch antraten und abzogen. Jede Abteilung war 24000 Mann stark.	1 Now the children of Israel according to their number, the heads of families, captains of thousands and of hundreds, and officers, that served the king according to their companies, who came in and went out every month in the year, under every chief were four and twenty thousand.
2 Die erste Abteilung für den ersten Monat befehligte Jaschobam, der Sohn Sabdiëls. Zu seiner Abteilung gehörten 24000 Mann.	2 Over the first company the first month Jesboam, the son of Zabdiel was chief, and under him were four and twenty thousand.

15 Der zwölfte, für den zwölften Monat, war Heldai aus Netofa vom Geschlecht Otniël. Zu seiner Abteilung gehörten 24000 Mann.	15 The twelfth, for the twelfth month, was Holdai a Netophathite, of the race of Gothoniel: and in his company were four and twenty thousand.
16 Diese standen an der Spitze der Stämme Israels: Fürst bei den Rubenitern war Eliëser, der Sohn Sichris; bei Simeon war es Schefatja, der Sohn Maachas;	16 Now the chiefs over the tribes of Israel were these: over the Rubenites, Eliezer the son of Zechri was ruler: over the Simeonites, Saphatias the son of Maacha :

20 bei den Efraimitern Hoschea, der Sohn Asasjas; bei der einen Hälfte des Stammes Manasse Joël, der Sohn Pedajas;	20 Over the sons of Ephraim, Osee the: son of Ozaziu: over the half tribe of Manasses, Joel the son of Phadaia:

24 Joab, der Sohn der Zeruja, hatte die Zählung begonnen, aber nicht zu Ende geführt, da ihretwegen ein Zorngericht über Israel gekommen war. So wurde ihre Zahl nicht in die Chronik des Königs David aufgenommen.	24 Joab the son of Sarvia began to number, but he finished not: because upon this there fell wrath upon Israel: and therefore the number of them that were numbered, was not registered in the chronicles of king David.
