1 David baute sich Häuser in der Davidstadt; er richtete auch eine Stätte für die Lade Gottes her und stellte ein Zelt für sie auf.	1 And David made him houses in the city of David, and prepared a place for the ark of God, and pitched for it a tent.
2 Damals ordnete er an, dass nur die Leviten die Lade tragen dürfen; denn sie hat der Herr erwählt, seine Lade zu tragen und immerfort bei ihr Dienst zu tun.	2 Then David said, None ought to carry the ark of God but the Levites: for them hath the LORD chosen to carry the ark of God, and to minister unto him for ever.
3 Hierauf berief David ganz Israel nach Jerusalem, um die Lade des Herrn an den Ort zu bringen, den er für sie hergerichtet hatte.	3 And David gathered all Israel together to Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the LORD unto his place, which he had prepared for it.
4 Er ließ die Nachkommen Aarons und die Leviten kommen:	4 And David assembled the children of Aaron, and the Levites:
5 von den Nachkommen Kehats den Vorsteher Uriël und seine Brüder, 120 Mann,	5 Of the sons of Kohath; Uriel the chief, and his brethren an hundred and twenty:
6 von den Nachkommen Meraris den Vorsteher Asaja und seine Brüder, 220 Mann,	6 Of the sons of Merari; Asaiah the chief, and his brethren two hundred and twenty:
7 von den Nachkommen Gerschoms den Vorsteher Joël und seine Brüder, 130 Mann,	7 Of the sons of Gershom; Joel the chief, and his brethren an hundred and thirty:
8 von den Nachkommen Elizafans den Vorsteher Schemaja und seine Brüder, 200 Mann,	8 Of the sons of Elizaphan; Shemaiah the chief, and his brethren two hundred:
9 von den Nachkommen Hebrons den Vorsteher Eliël und seine Brüder, 80 Mann,	9 Of the sons of Hebron; Eliel the chief, and his brethren fourscore:
10 von den Nachkommen Usiëls den Vorsteher Amminadab und seine Brüder, 112 Mann.	10 Of the sons of Uzziel; Amminadab the chief, and his brethren an hundred and twelve.
11 David rief die Priester Zadok und Abjatar sowie die Leviten Uriël, Asaja, Joël, Schemaja, Eliël und Amminadab zu sich	11 And David called for Zadok and Abiathar the priests, and for the Levites, for Uriel, Asaiah, and Joel, Shemaiah, and Eliel, and Amminadab,
12 und befahl ihnen: Ihr seid die Familienhäupter der Leviten. Ihr und eure Brüder, heiligt euch und bringt die Lade des Herrn, des Gottes Israels, herauf an den Ort, den ich für sie hergerichtet habe.	12 And said unto them, Ye are the chief of the fathers of the Levites: sanctify yourselves, both ye and your brethren, that ye may bring up the ark of the LORD God of Israel unto the place that I have prepared for it.
13 Weil ihr beim ersten Mal nicht beteiligt wart, hat der Herr, unser Gott, Unglück über uns gebracht; denn wir sind nicht auf ihn bedacht gewesen, wie es sich gehört hätte.	13 For because ye did it not at the first, the LORD our God made a breach upon us, for that we sought him not after the due order.
14 Da heiligten sich die Priester und die Leviten, um die Lade des Herrn, des Gottes Israels, heraufzubringen.	14 So the priests and the Levites sanctified themselves to bring up the ark of the LORD God of Israel.
15 Die Leviten hoben die Lade Gottes mit den Tragstangen auf ihre Schultern, wie es Mose auf Befehl des Herrn angeordnet hatte.	15 And the children of the Levites bare the ark of God upon their shoulders with the staves thereon, as Moses commanded according to the word of the LORD.
16 Den Vorstehern der Leviten befahl David, sie sollten ihre Stammesbrüder, die Sänger, mit ihren Instrumenten, mit Harfen, Zithern und Zimbeln, aufstellen, damit sie zum Freudenjubel laut ihr Spiel ertönen ließen.	16 And David spake to the chief of the Levites to appoint their brethren to be the singers with instruments of musick, psalteries and harps and cymbals, sounding, by lifting up the voice with joy.
17 Sie stellten daher die Leviten Heman, den Sohn Joëls, und seinen Stammesbruder Asaf, den Sohn Berechjas, auf, ferner von den Nachkommen Meraris ihren Stammesbruder Etan, den Sohn Kuschajas.	17 So the Levites appointed Heman the son of Joel; and of his brethren, Asaph the son of Berechiah; and of the sons of Merari their brethren, Ethan the son of Kushaiah;
18 Zu ihnen kamen von ihren Brüdern im zweiten Dienstrang: Secharja, Jaasiël, Schemiramot, Jehiël, Unni, Eliab, Benaja, Maaseja, Mattitja, Elifelehu, Mikneja, Obed-Edom und Jëiël, [die Torwächter].	18 And with them their brethren of the second degree, Zechariah, Ben, and Jaaziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Unni, Eliab, and Benaiah, and Maaseiah, and Mattithiah, and Elipheleh, and Mikneiah, and Obed-edom, and Jeiel, the porters.
19 Die Sänger Heman, Asaf und Etan schlugen die bronzenen Zimbeln.	19 So the singers, Heman, Asaph, and Ethan, were appointed to sound with cymbals of brass;
20 Secharja, Jaasiël, Schemiramot, Jehiël, Unni, Eliab, Maaseja und Benaja spielten nach elamitischer Weise auf Harfen	20 And Zechariah, and Aziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Unni, and Eliab, and Maaseiah, and Benaiah, with psalteries on Alamoth;
21 und Mattitja, Elifelehu, Mikneja, Obed-Edom, Jëiël und Asasja in der achten Stufe auf Zithern, um den Gesang zu führen.	21 And Mattithiah, and Elipheleh, and Mikneiah, and Obed-edom, and Jeiel, and Azaziah, with harps on the Sheminith to excel.
22 Kenanja, der Vorsteher der Leviten, leitete den Vortrag. Er gab dazu Anweisungen, da er sich darauf verstand.	22 And Chenaniah, chief of the Levites, was for song: he instructed about the song, because he was skilful.
23 Berechja und Elkana waren Torwächter für die Lade.	23 And Berechiah and Elkanah were doorkeepers for the ark.
24 Die Priester Schebanja, Joschafat, Netanel, Amasai, Secharja, Benaja und Eliëser bliesen die Trompeten vor der Lade Gottes. Obed-Edom und Jehija waren Torwächter für die Lade.	24 And Shebaniah, and Jehoshaphat, and Nethaneel, and Amasai, and Zechariah, and Benaiah, and Eliezer, the priests, did blow with the trumpets before the ark of God: and Obed-edom and Jehiah were doorkeepers for the ark.
25 David, die Ältesten Israels und die Führer der Tausendschaften, die gegangen waren, um die Bundeslade des Herrn aus dem Haus Obed-Edoms heraufzuholen, waren voller Freude.	25 So David, and the elders of Israel, and the captains over thousands, went to bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the house of Obed-edom with joy.
26 Damit Gott den Leviten, die die Bundeslade des Herrn trugen, beistand, opferte man sieben Stiere und sieben Widder.	26 And it came to pass, when God helped the Levites that bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, that they offered seven bullocks and seven rams.
27 David war mit einem Mantel aus Byssus bekleidet, ebenso alle Leviten, die die Lade trugen, sowie die Sänger und Kenanja, der den Vortrag der Sänger leitete. Dabei trug David das leinene Efod.	27 And David was clothed with a robe of fine linen, and all the Levites that bare the ark, and the singers, and Chenaniah the master of the song with the singers: David also had upon him an ephod of linen.
28 So brachte ganz Israel die Bundeslade des Herrn hinauf unter großem Jubelgeschrei und unter dem Klang des Widderhorns, unter dem Lärm der Trompeten und Zimbeln, beim Spiel der Harfen und Zithern.	28 Thus all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of the LORD with shouting, and with sound of the cornet, and with trumpets, and with cymbals, making a noise with psalteries and harps.
29 Als die Bundeslade des Herrn in die Davidstadt kam, schaute Michal, Sauls Tochter, aus dem Fenster, und als sie sah, wie König David hüpfte und tanzte, verachtete sie ihn in ihrem Herzen.	29 And it came to pass, as the ark of the covenant of the LORD came to the city of David, that Michal the daughter of Saul looking out at a window saw king David dancing and playing: and she despised him in her heart.
