2 En Juda Dieu s’est fait connaître, son nom est grand en Israël,	2 Renowned in Judah is God, whose name is great in Israel.
3 lui qui a sa tente à Jérusalem, une demeure au mont Sion.	3 On Salem is God's tent, a shelter on Zion.
4 C’est là qu’il a brisé les flèches, le bouclier et l’épée: la guerre!	4 There the flashing arrows were shattered, shield, sword, and weapons of war. Selah
5 Te voilà rayonnant de lumière, triomphant sur des montagnes de butin:	5 Terrible and awesome are you, stronger than the ancient mountains.
6 on leur a tout pris! Les vaillants étaient de pierre dans leur sommeil, l’armée entière: leur force s’était éteinte.	6 Despoiled are the bold warriors; they sleep their final sleep; the hands of all the mighty have failed.
7 Tu n’avais dit qu’un mot, Dieu de Jacob, et les chars, les chevaux s’étaient figés.	7 At your roar, O God of Jacob, chariots and steeds lay still.
8 Que tu es redoutable, qui tiendra devant toi au jour de ta colère?	8 So terrible and awesome are you; who can stand before you and your great anger?
9 Si dans les cieux tu fais entendre une sentence, la terre s’effraie et reste sans parole.	9 From the heavens you pronounced sentence; the earth was terrified and reduced to silence,
10 Dieu alors se lève, il fait justice et sauve tous les humbles de la terre.	10 When you arose, O God, for judgment to deliver the afflicted of the land. Selah
11 La fureur des hommes tournera à ta gloire, ceux qui échappent à ta fureur te rendront grâce.	11 Even wrathful Edom praises you; the remnant of Hamath keeps your feast.
12 Faites des promesses au Seigneur votre Dieu, et de partout venez les accomplir, apportez l’offrande au Dieu Terrible!	12 Make and keep vows to the LORD your God. May all present bring gifts to this awesome God,
13 Il saura refroidir votre ardeur, mes princes, Il est redoutable aux rois de la terre!	13 Who checks the pride of princes, inspires awe among the kings of earth.
