1 Господь сказав Мойсеєві: Ще одну тільки кару наведу на фараона й на Єгипет. А тоді вже він відпустить вас звідси; не лише відпустить вас усіх, але навіть прожене вас силою звідсіль.	1 Yahweh then said to Moses, 'I shal inflict one more plague on Pharaoh and Egypt, after which he willet you go away. When he lets you go, he wil actually drive you out!
2 Тож накажи людям, щоб кожен чоловік від сусіда свого і кожна жінка від сусідки своєї визичили собі посуд срібний і посуд золотий.	2 Now instruct the people that every man is to ask his neighbour, and every woman hers, for silver andgolden jewel ery.'
3 Господь же дав народові ласку в очах єгиптян. Та й Мойсей самий був людина визначна в Єгипетській землі, в повазі у фараона та в народі.	3 And Yahweh made the Egyptians impressed with the people, while Moses himself was a man of greatimportance in Egypt in the opinion of Pharaoh's officials and the people.
4 І сказав Мойсей: Так говорить Господь: Опівночі я пройду почерез Єгипет,	4 Moses then said, 'Yahweh says this, "At midnight I shal pass through Egypt,
5 і помре всякий первісток у землі Єгипетській, від первенця фараона, що сидить на троні, аж до первенця рабині за жорнами, і всяке первородне у скотини.	5 and all the first-born in Egypt wil die, from the first-born of Pharaoh, heir to his throne, to the first-bornof the slave-girl at the mill, and all the first-born of the livestock.
6 І буде ридання велике по всій землі Єгипетській, якого не було ще ніколи і не буде.	6 And throughout Egypt there wil be great wailing, such as never was before, nor will be again.
7 Ні на одного ж із синів Ізраїля ні собака не гавкне, ні на людину, ні на скотину, щоб знали ви, що Господь кладе різницю між єгиптянами і між синами Ізраїля.	7 But against the Israelites, whether man or beast, never a dog shal bark, so that you may know thatYahweh discriminates between Egypt and Israel.
8 І прийдуть усі ці твої слуги до мене, та й впадуть ниць передо мною, кажучи: Виходь ти сам і всі люди, що при тобі. І тоді я вийду. Та й вийшов від фараона, палаючи гнівом.	8 Then all these officials of yours wil come down to me and, bowing low before me, say: Go away, youand all the people who fol ow you! After which, I shal go." ' And, hot with anger, he left Pharaoh's presence.
9 І сказав Господь Мойсеєві: Не слухає вас фараон, щоб я намножив більше чудес у землі Єгипетській.	9 Yahweh then said to Moses, 'Pharaoh wil not listen to you, so that more of my wonders may bedisplayed in Egypt.'
10 Мойсей же та Арон зробили всі ті чудеса перед фараоном, та закаменив Господь серце фараонове, і не відпустив синів Ізраїля з землі своєї.	10 Moses and Aaron worked al these wonders in Pharaoh's presence, but Yahweh made Pharaohstubborn, and he did not let the Israelites leave his country.
