Isaiah (ישעיה) - Isaia 94

STUTTGARTENSIA-DELITZSCH	NEW JERUSALEM
1 אֵל־נְקָמֹות יְהוָה אֵל נְקָמֹות הֹופִיַע	1 God of vengeance, Yahweh, God of vengeance, shine forth!
2 הִנָּשֵׂא שֹׁפֵט הָאָרֶץ הָשֵׁב גְּמוּל עַל־גֵּאִים	2 Arise, judge of the world, give back the proud what they deserve!
3 עַד־מָתַי רְשָׁעִים ׀ יְהוָה עַד־מָתַי רְשָׁעִים יַעֲלֹזוּ	3 How long are the wicked, Yahweh, how long are the wicked to triumph?
4 יַבִּיעוּ יְדַבְּרוּ עָתָק יִתְאַמְּרוּ כָּל־פֹּעֲלֵי אָוֶן	4 They bluster and boast, they flaunt themselves, all the evil-doers.
5 עַמְּךָ יְהוָה יְדַכְּאוּ וְנַחֲלָתְךָ יְעַנּוּ	5 They crush your people, Yahweh, they oppress your heritage,
6 אַלְמָנָה וְגֵר יַהֲרֹגוּ וִיתֹומִים יְרַצֵּחוּ	6 they murder the widow and the stranger, bring the orphan to a violent death.
7 וַיֹּאמְרוּ לֹא יִרְאֶה־יָּהּ וְלֹא־יָבִין אֱלֹהֵי יַעֲקֹב	7 They say, 'Yahweh is not looking, the God of Jacob is taking no notice.'
8 בִּינוּ בֹּעֲרִים בָּעָם וּכְסִילִים מָתַי תַּשְׂכִּילוּ	8 Take notice yourselves, you coarsest of people! Fools, when wil you learn some sense?
9 הֲנֹטַע אֹזֶן הֲלֹא יִשְׁמָע אִם־יֹצֵר עַיִן הֲלֹא יַבִּיט	9 Shal he who implanted the ear not hear, he who fashioned the eye not see?
10 הֲיֹסֵר גֹּויִם הֲלֹא יֹוכִיחַ הַמְלַמֵּד אָדָם דָּעַת	10 Shal he who instructs nations not punish? Yahweh, the teacher of al people,
11 יְהוָה יֹדֵעַ מַחְשְׁבֹות אָדָם כִּי־הֵמָּה הָבֶל	11 knows human plans and how insipid they are.
12 אַשְׁרֵי ׀ הַגֶּבֶר אֲשֶׁר־תְּיַסְּרֶנּוּ יָּהּ וּמִתֹּורָתְךָ תְלַמְּדֶנּוּ	12 How blessed are those you instruct, Yahweh, whom you teach by means of your law,
13 לְהַשְׁקִיט לֹו מִימֵי רָע עַד יִכָּרֶה לָרָשָׁע שָׁחַת	13 to give them respite in evil times, til a pit is dug for the wicked.
14 כִּי ׀ לֹא־יִטֹּשׁ יְהוָה עַמֹּו וְנַחֲלָתֹו לֹא יַעֲזֹב	14 Yahweh will not abandon his people, he wil not desert his heritage;
15 כִּי־עַד־צֶדֶק יָשׁוּב מִשְׁפָּט וְאַחֲרָיו כָּל־יִשְׁרֵי־לֵב	15 for judgement will again become saving justice, and in its wake al upright hearts will fol ow.
16 מִי־יָקוּם לִי עִם־מְרֵעִים מִי־יִתְיַצֵּב לִי עִם־פֹּעֲלֵי אָוֶן	16 Who rises up on my side against the wicked? Who stands firm on my side against al evil-doers?
17 לוּלֵי יְהוָה עֶזְרָתָה לִּי כִּמְעַט ׀ שָׁכְנָה דוּמָה נַפְשִׁי	17 If Yahweh did not come to my help, I should soon find myself dwel ing in the silence.
18 אִם־אָמַרְתִּי מָטָה רַגְלִי חַסְדְּךָ יְהוָה יִסְעָדֵנִי	18 I need only say, 'I am slipping,' for your faithful love, Yahweh, to support me;
19 בְּרֹב שַׂרְעַפַּי בְּקִרְבִּי תַּנְחוּמֶיךָ יְשַׁעַשְׁעוּ נַפְשִׁי	19 however great the anxiety of my heart, your consolations soothe me.
20 הַיְחָבְרְךָ כִּסֵּא הַוֹּות יֹצֵר עָמָל עֲלֵי־חֹק	20 Are you partner to a destructive court, that gives disorder the status of law?
21 יָגֹודּוּ עַל־נֶפֶשׁ צַדִּיק וְדָם נָקִי יַרְשִׁיעוּ	21 They make an attack on the life of the upright, and condemn innocent blood.
22 וַיְהִי יְהוָה לִי לְמִשְׂגָּב וֵאלֹהַי לְצוּר מַחְסִי	22 No! Yahweh is a stronghold to me, my God is my rock of refuge.
23 וַיָּשֶׁב עֲלֵיהֶם ׀ אֶת־אֹונָם וּבְרָעָתָם יַצְמִיתֵם יַצְמִיתֵם יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ	23 He turns back their guilt on themselves, annihilates them for their wickedness, he annihilates them,Yahweh our God.
