SAGRADA BIBLIA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 De Davi. Eu vos louvarei de todo o coração, Senhor, porque ouvistes as minhas palavras. Na presença dos anjos eu vos cantarei.	1 [Of David] I thank you, Yahweh, with all my heart, for you have listened to the cry I uttered. In thepresence of angels I sing to you,
2 Ante vosso santo templo prostrar-me-ei, e louvarei o vosso nome, pela vossa bondade e fidelidade, porque acima de todas as coisas, exaltastes o vosso nome e a vossa promessa.	2 I bow down before your holy Temple. I praise your name for your faithful love and your constancy;your promises surpass even your fame.
3 Quando vos invoquei, vós me respondestes; fizestes crescer a força de minha alma.	3 You heard me on the day when I cal ed, and you gave new strength to my heart.
4 Hão de vos louvar, Senhor, todos os reis da terra, ao ouvirem as palavras de vossa boca.	4 Al the kings of the earth give thanks to you, Yahweh, when they hear the promises you make;
5 E celebrarão os desígnios do Senhor: Verdadeiramente, grande é a glória do Senhor.	5 they sing of Yahweh's ways, 'Great is the glory of Yahweh!'
6 Sim, excelso é o Senhor, mas olha os pequeninos, enquanto seu olhar perscruta os soberbos.	6 Sublime as he is, Yahweh looks on the humble, the proud he picks out from afar.
7 Em meio à adversidade vós me conservais a vida, estendeis a mão contra a cólera de meus inimigos; salva-me a vossa mão.	7 Though I live surrounded by trouble you give me life -- to my enemies' fury! You stretch out your righthand and save me,
8 O Senhor completará o que em meu auxílio começou. Senhor, eterna é a vossa bondade: não abandoneis a obra de vossas mãos.	8 Yahweh will do al things for me. Yahweh, your faithful love endures for ever, do not abandon what you have made.
