1 Cântico das peregrinações. Para os montes levanto os olhos: de onde me virá socorro?	1 In my trouble I cried to the Lord: and he heard me.
2 O meu socorro virá do Senhor, criador do céu e da terra.	2 O Lord, deliver my soul from wicked lips, and a deceitful tongue.
3 Ele não permitirá que teus pés resvalem; não dormirá aquele que te guarda.	3 What shall be given to thee, or what shall be added to thee, to a deceitful tongue.
4 Não, não há de dormir, nem adormecer o guarda de Israel.	4 The sharp arrows of the mighty, with coals that lay waste.
5 O Senhor é teu guarda, o Senhor é teu abrigo, sempre ao teu lado.	5 Woe is me, that my sojourning is prolonged! I have dwelt with the inhabitants of cedar:
6 De dia, o sol não te fará mal; nem a lua durante a noite.	6 my soul hath been long a sojourner.
7 O Senhor te resguardará de todo o mal; ele velará sobre tua alma.	7 With them that hate peace I was peaceable: when I spoke to them they fought against me without cause.
8 O Senhor guardará os teus passos, agora e para todo o sempre.
