1 Al maestro di coro. Al suono del flauto. Di Davide.	1 Unto the end. For her who pursues the inheritance. A Psalm of David.
2 Le mie parole ascolta, o Signore; comprendi il mio gemito.	2 O Lord, listen closely to my words. Understand my outcry.
3 Sii attento al grido della mia implorazione, mio re e mio Dio! Poiché a te, o Signore, rivolgo la mia preghiera.	3 Attend to the voice of my prayer, my King and my God.
4 Al mattino, quando odi la mia voce, al mattino espongo il mio caso e attendo.	4 For to you, I will pray. In the morning, Lord, you will hear my voice.
5 Sì, tu non sei un Dio che si compiace del male; nessun malvagio può farsi tuo ospite;	5 In the morning, I will stand before you, and I will see. For you are not a God who wills iniquity.
6 non possono presentarsi i superbi davanti ai tuoi occhi; tutti hai in odio gli operatori d'iniquità.	6 And the malicious will not dwell close to you, nor will the unjust endure before your eyes.
7 Tu mandi in rovina quelli che dicono menzogne. L'uomo di sangue e di frode l'avversa il Signore.	7 You hate all who work iniquity. You will destroy all who speak a lie. The bloody and deceitful man, the Lord will abominate.
8 Ma io, nella tua grande misericordia, posso entrare nella tua casa e prostrarmi verso il santo tuo tempio, nel tuo timore.	8 But I am in the multitude of your mercy. I will enter your house. I will show adoration toward your holy temple, in your fear.
9 Conducimi, o Signore, nella tua giustizia contro quelli che mi tendono insidie; appiana davanti a me la tua via.	9 Lord, lead me in your justice. Because of my enemies, direct my way in your sight.
10 Sì, non c'è fermezza nella loro bocca: un baratro è il loro interno; sepolcro aperto è la loro gola; seminano rovina con le loro lingue.	10 For there is no truth in their mouth: their heart is vain.
11 Falli perire, o Dio; rimangano delusi dai loro consigli; per i loro crimini senza numero disperdili, perché contro di te si sono ribellati.	11 Their throat is an open sepulcher. They have acted deceitfully with their tongues. Judge them, O God. Let them fall by their own intentions: according to the multitude of their impiety, expel them. For they have provoked you, O Lord.
12 Ma gioiscano quanti in te si rifugiano; eterna sia la loro esultanza; e tu proteggili, affinché si allietino in te quanti amano il tuo nome.	12 But let all those who hope in you rejoice. They will exult in eternity, and you will dwell in them. And all those who love your name will glory in you.
13 Sì, tu benedici il giusto, o Signore; come uno scudo, di grazia lo circondi.	13 For you will bless the just. You have crowned us, O Lord, as if with a shield of your good will.
