1 Corinthians 15

1 And so I make known to you, brothers, the Gospel that I preached to you, which you also received, and on which you stand.	1 Vi richiamo poi, o fratelli, il vangelo che vi ho annunziato e che avete ricevuto, nel quale perseverate,
2 By the Gospel, too, you are being saved, if you hold to the understanding that I preached to you, lest you believe in vain.	2 e dal quale ricevete la salvezza, se lo ritenete nei termini con cui ve l'ho annunziato; altrimenti avreste creduto invano.
3 For I handed on to you, first of all, what I also received: that Christ died for our sins, according to the Scriptures;	3 Vi ho dunque trasmesso, anzitutto, quello che ho ricevuto, che Cristo morì per i nostri peccati secondo le Scritture,
4 and that he was buried; and that he rose again on the third day, according to the Scriptures;	4 e che fu sepolto, e fu risuscitato il terzo giorno, secondo le Scritture;
5 and that he was seen by Cephas, and after that by the eleven.	5 e che apparve a Cefa, e poi ai Dodici.
6 Next he was seen by more than five hundred brothers at one time, many of whom remain, even to the present time, although some have fallen asleep.	6 In seguito apparve a più di cinquecento fratelli in una volta, la maggior parte dei quali vive ancora, mentre alcuni sono morti.
7 Next, he was seen by James, then by all the Apostles.	7 Poi apparve a Giacomo, e quindi a tutti gli apostoli.
8 And last of all, he was seen also by me, as if I were someone born at the wrong time.	8 Infine apparve anche a me, ultimo di tutti, come a un aborto.
9 For I am the least of the Apostles. I am not worthy to be called an Apostle, because I persecuted the Church of God.	9 Io infatti sono l'ultimo tra gli apostoli, neanche degno di venire chiamato apostolo, perché ho perseguitato la chiesa di Dio.
10 But, by the grace of God, I am what I am. And his grace in me has not been empty, since I have labored more abundantly than all of them. Yet it is not I, but the grace of God within me.	10 Per grazia di Dio sono quello che sono, e la sua grazia in me non fu vana; anzi, ho faticato più di tutti loro, non io invero, ma la grazia di Dio con me.
11 For whether it is I or they: so we preach, and so you have believed.	11 Sia dunque io sia loro così predichiamo e così avete creduto.
12 Now if Christ is preached, that he rose again from the dead, how is it that some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead?	12 Ora, se si predica che Cristo fu risuscitato dai morti, come possono dire alcuni tra voi che non si dà risurrezione dai morti?
13 For if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ has not risen.	13 Ché se non si dà risurrezione dai morti, neanche Cristo fu risuscitato!
14 And if Christ has not risen, then our preaching is useless, and your faith is also useless.	14 Ma se Cristo non fu risuscitato, è vana la nostra predicazione, vana la vostra fede.
15 Then, too, we would be found to be false witnesses of God, because we would have given testimony against God, saying that he had raised up Christ, when he had not raised him up, if, indeed, the dead do not rise again.	15 E ci troveremmo ad essere falsi testimoni di Dio, perché abbiamo testimoniato di Dio che ha risuscitato il Messia, mentre non l'avrebbe risuscitato, se fosse vero che i morti non risorgono.
16 For if the dead do not rise again, then neither has Christ risen again.	16 Se infatti non si dà risurrezione di morti, neanche Cristo è risorto;
17 But if Christ has not risen, then your faith is vain; for you would still be in your sins.	17 e se Cristo non è risorto, è inutile la vostra fede e voi siete ancora nei vostri peccati.
18 Then, too, those who have fallen asleep in Christ would have perished.	18 E anche quelli che si sono addormentati in Cristo sono perduti.
19 If we have hope in Christ for this life only, then we are more miserable than all men.	19 Se avessimo speranza in Cristo soltanto in questa vita, saremmo i più miserabili di tutti gli uomini.
20 But now Christ has risen again from the dead, as the first-fruits of those who sleep.	20 Ma invece Cristo è stato risuscitato dai morti, primizia di quelli che dormono.
21 For certainly, death came through a man. And so, the resurrection of the dead came through a man	21 Poiché, se per un uomo venne la morte, per un uomo c'è anche la risurrezione dei morti;
22 And just as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be brought to life,	22 e come tutti muoiono in Adamo, così tutti saranno vivificati in Cristo.
23 but each one in his proper order: Christ, as the first-fruits, and next, those who are of Christ, who have believed in his advent.	23 Ma ciascuno al suo posto. Prima Cristo, che è la primizia; poi, alla sua venuta, quelli di Cristo;
24 Afterwards is the end, when he will have handed over the kingdom to God the Father, when he will have emptied all principality, and authority, and power.	24 quindi la fine, quando consegnerà il regno a Dio Padre, dopo aver annientato ogni principato, potestà e potenza.
25 For it is necessary for him to reign, until he has set all his enemies under his feet.	25 Deve infatti regnare finché non abbia posto tutti i nemici sotto i suoi piedi.
26 Lastly, the enemy called death shall be destroyed. For he has subjected all things under his feet. And although he says,	26 L'ultimo nemico ad essere annientato sarà la morte, perché ogni cosa ha sottoposto ai suoi piedi.
27 “All things have been subjected to him,” without doubt he does not include the One who has subjected all things to him.	27 Ma quando dice: "ogni cosa è sottoposta", è chiaro che si eccettua Colui che ha sottomesso a lui ogni cosa.
28 And when all things will have been subjected to him, then even the Son himself will be subjected to the One who subjected all things to him, so that God may be all in all.	28 E quando tutto gli sarà stato sottomesso, anch'egli, il Figlio, farà atto di sottomissione a Colui che gli ha sottomesso ogni cosa, affinché Dio sia tutto in tutti.
29 Otherwise, what will those who are being baptized for the dead do, if the dead do not rise again at all? Why then are they being baptized for them?	29 Se così non fosse, che cosa farebbero quelli che si battezzano per i morti? Se assolutamente i morti non risorgono, perché si fanno battezzare per loro?
30 Why also do we endure trials every hour?	30 E perché ci esponiamo al pericolo continuamente?
31 Daily I die, by means of your boasting, brothers: you whom I have in Christ Jesus our Lord.	31 Ogni giorno io affronto la morte, com'è vero che voi siete il mio vanto, o fratelli, in Cristo Gesù Signore nostro!
32 If, according to man, I fought with the beasts at Ephesus, how would that benefit me, if the dead do not rise again? “Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we shall die.”	32 Se soltanto per ragioni umane io avessi combattuto a Efeso contro le fiere, a che mi gioverebbe? Se i morti non risorgono, mangiamo e beviamo, perché domani morremo.
33 Do not be led astray. Evil communication corrupts good morals.	33 Non lasciatevi ingannare: Corrompono i buoni costumi i discorsi cattivi.
34 Be vigilant, you just ones, and do not be willing to sin. For certain persons have an ignorance of God. I say this to you with respect.	34 Ritornate in voi, secondo giustizia, e non peccate. Taluni dimostrano di non conoscere Dio; lo dico a vostra vergogna!
35 But someone may say, “How do the dead rise again?” or, “What type of body do they return with?”	35 Ma qualcuno dirà: "Come risorgono i morti? Con quale corpo verranno?".
36 How foolish! What you sow cannot be brought back to life, unless it first dies.	36 Stolto, ciò che tu semini non prende vita se prima non muore;
37 And what you sow is not the body that will be in the future, but a bare grain, such as of wheat, or of some other grain.	37 e quello che semini non è il corpo che nascerà, ma un semplice chicco di grano o di altro genere:
38 For God gives it a body according to his will, and according to each seed’s proper body.	38 Dio gli darà un corpo come vuole, a ciascun seme il proprio corpo.
39 Not all flesh is the same flesh. But one is indeed of men, another truly is of beasts, another is of birds, and another is of fish.	39 Non ogni carne è la medesima carne; altra è la carne di un uomo e altra quella di un animale; altra quella di un uccello e altra quella di un pesce.
40 Also, there are heavenly bodies and earthly bodies. But while the one, certainly, has the glory of heaven, the other has the glory of earth.	40 Vi sono corpi celesti e corpi terrestri; altro è lo splendore dei corpi celesti, e altro quello dei corpi terrestri.
41 One has the brightness of the sun, another the brightness of the moon, and another the brightness of the stars. For even star differs from star in brightness.	41 Altro è lo splendore del sole, altro quello della luna, altro quello delle stelle: ogni astro differisce dall'altro nello splendore.
42 So it is also with the resurrection of the dead. What is sown in corruption shall rise to incorruption.	42 Così anche la risurrezione dei morti: si semina nella corruzione, si risorge nell'incorruttibilità;
43 What is sown in dishonor shall rise to glory. What is sown in weakness shall rise to power.	43 si semina nello squallore, si risorge nello splendore; si semina nell'infermità, si risorge nella potenza;
44 What is sown with an animal body shall rise with a spiritual body. If there is an animal body, there is also a spiritual one.	44 si semina un corpo naturale, risorge un corpo spirituale. Se infatti c'è un corpo naturale, vi è pure un corpo spirituale.
45 Just as it was written that the first man, Adam, was made with a living soul, so shall the last Adam be made with a spirit brought back to life.	45 Sta scritto: il primo uomo, Adamo, divenne anima vivente, ma l'ultimo Adamo divenne spirito vivificante.
46 So what is, at first, not spiritual, but animal, next becomes spiritual.	46 Non vi fu prima il corpo spirituale, ma il naturale, poi lo spirituale.
47 The first man, being earthly, was of the earth; the second man, being heavenly, will be of heaven.	47 Il primo uomo tratto dalla terra è di polvere, ma il secondo uomo viene dal cielo.
48 Such things as are like the earth are earthly; and such things as are like the heavens are heavenly.	48 Qual è l'uomo di polvere, così sono quelli di polvere, ma qual è il celeste, così saranno i celesti.
49 And so, just as we have carried the image of what is earthly, let us also carry the image of what is heavenly.	49 E come abbiamo portato l'immagine dell'uomo di polvere, così porteremo l'immagine dell'uomo celeste.
50 Now I say this, brothers, because flesh and blood is not able to possess the kingdom of God; neither will what is corrupt possess what is incorrupt.	50 Vi dico, o fratelli, che la carne e il sangue, non possono ereditare il regno di Dio, né ciò che è corruttibile eredita l'incorruttibilità.
51 Behold, I tell you a mystery. Certainly, we shall all rise again, but we shall not all be transformed:	51 Ecco, vi dico un mistero: non tutti morremo, ma tutti saremo trasformati:
52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will rise up, incorruptible. And we shall be transformed.	52 in un istante, in un batter d'occhio, all'ultima tromba; suonerà infatti la tromba, i morti risorgeranno incorrotti e noi saremo trasformati.
53 Thus, it is necessary for this corruptibility to be clothed with incorruptibility, and for this mortality to be clothed with immortality.	53 Questo corpo corruttibile deve rivestire l'incorruttibilità e questo corpo mortale rivestire l'immortalità.
54 And when this mortality has been clothed with immortality, then the word that was written shall occur: “Death is swallowed up in victory.”	54 Quando questo corpo corruttibile sarà rivestito d'incorruttibilità e questo corpo mortale d'immortalità, si realizzerà la parola che sta scritta: La morte è stata ingoiata nella vittoria.
55 “O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?”	55 Dov'è, o morte, la tua vittoria? Dov'è, o morte, il tuo pungiglione?
56 Now the sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.	56 Il pungiglione della morte è il peccato e la potenza del peccato è la legge.
57 But thanks be to God, who has given us victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.	57 Ma siano rese grazie a Dio che ci concede la vittoria per mezzo del Signore nostro Gesù Cristo!
58 And so, my beloved brothers, be steadfast and unmovable, abounding always in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not useless in the Lord.	58 Perciò, o fratelli miei carissimi, rimanete saldi, irremovibili, prodigandovi senza sosta nell'opera del Signore, sapendo che la vostra fatica non è vana nel Signore.
