1 And so I make known to you, brothers, the Gospel that I preached to you, which you also received, and on which you stand.	1 Or io vi dichiaro, o fratelli, il Vangelo, che vi annunziai, il quale voi pur riceveste, ed in cui voi state saldi,
2 By the Gospel, too, you are being saved, if you hold to the understanding that I preached to you, lest you believe in vain.	2 Per cui siete anche salvati: se lo ritenete in quella guisa, che io vi predicai, eccettochè indarno abbiate creduto.
3 For I handed on to you, first of all, what I also received: that Christ died for our sins, according to the Scriptures;	3 Imperocché io vi ho insegnato in primo luogo quello, che io pur apparai: che Cristo mori pe' nostri peccati secondo le scritture:
4 and that he was buried; and that he rose again on the third day, according to the Scriptures;	4 E che fu sepolto, e che risuscitò il terzo di secondo le scritture:
5 and that he was seen by Cephas, and after that by the eleven.	5 E che fu veduto da Cefa, e di poi dagli undici:
6 Next he was seen by more than five hundred brothers at one time, many of whom remain, even to the present time, although some have fallen asleep.	6 E di poi fu veduto da sopra cinquecento fratelli in una volta: de' quali i più vivon fino al di d'oggi, alcuni poi sono morti:
7 Next, he was seen by James, then by all the Apostles.	7 E poi fu veduto da Giacomo, e poi da tutti gli Apostoli:
8 And last of all, he was seen also by me, as if I were someone born at the wrong time.	8 Per ultimo poi di tutti come da un aborto fu veduto anche da me.
9 For I am the least of the Apostles. I am not worthy to be called an Apostle, because I persecuted the Church of God.	9 Imperocché io sono il minimo degli Apostoli, che non son degno di esser chiamato Apostolo, perché ho perseguitato la Chiesa di Dio.
10 But, by the grace of God, I am what I am. And his grace in me has not been empty, since I have labored more abundantly than all of them. Yet it is not I, but the grace of God within me.	10 Ma per la grazia del Signore son quello, che sono, e la grazia di lui, che è in me, non è stata infruttifera, ma ho travagliato più di tutti loro: non io però, ma la grazia di Dio, che è con me;
11 For whether it is I or they: so we preach, and so you have believed.	11 Ed io adunque, e quegli, cosi predichiamo, e così avete creduto.
12 Now if Christ is preached, that he rose again from the dead, how is it that some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead?	12 Che se si predica Cristo come risuscitato da morte, come mai dicono alcuni tra voi, che non havvi risurrezione de' morti?
13 For if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ has not risen.	13 Che se non v' ha risurrezione de' morti: neppur Cristo è risuscitato.
14 And if Christ has not risen, then our preaching is useless, and your faith is also useless.	14 Se poi Cristo non è risuscitato, vana è adunque la nostra predicazione, vana è ancora la vostra fede:
15 Then, too, we would be found to be false witnesses of God, because we would have given testimony against God, saying that he had raised up Christ, when he had not raised him up, if, indeed, the dead do not rise again.	15 Siamo anche scoperti testimonj falsi di Dio: dappoiché abbiam renduto testimonianza a Dio dell'aver lui risuscitato Cristo, cui non ha risuscitato, se i morti non risorgono.
16 For if the dead do not rise again, then neither has Christ risen again.	16 Imperocché se non risorgono i morti, neppur Cristo è risuscitato.
17 But if Christ has not risen, then your faith is vain; for you would still be in your sins.	17 Che se Cristo non è risorto, è vana la vostra fede, conciossiachè siete tuttora ne' vostri peccati.
18 Then, too, those who have fallen asleep in Christ would have perished.	18 Per la qual cosa anche quegli, che in Cristo si addormentarono, sono periti.
19 If we have hope in Christ for this life only, then we are more miserable than all men.	19 Se per questa vita solamente speriamo in Cristo siamo i più miserabili di tutti gli uomini.
20 But now Christ has risen again from the dead, as the first-fruits of those who sleep.	20 Ora però Cristo è risuscitato da morte primizia de' dormienti:
21 For certainly, death came through a man. And so, the resurrection of the dead came through a man	21 Dappoiché da un uomo la morte, e da un uomo la risurrezione da morte.
22 And just as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be brought to life,	22 E siccome in Adamo tutti muojono, cosi pure tutti in Cristo saranno vivificati.
23 but each one in his proper order: Christ, as the first-fruits, and next, those who are of Christ, who have believed in his advent.	23 Ciascheduno però a suo luogo, Cristo primizia: di poi quegli, che sono di Cristo, i quali nella venuta di lui hanno creduto.
24 Afterwards is the end, when he will have handed over the kingdom to God the Father, when he will have emptied all principality, and authority, and power.	24 Di poi la fine; quando avrà rimesso il regno a Dio, e al Padre, quando avrà abolito ogni principato, e ogni podestà, e virtù.
25 For it is necessary for him to reign, until he has set all his enemies under his feet.	25 Or è necessario, che egli regni, sino a tanto che (Dio) gli abbia posti sotto dei piedi tutti i nimici.
26 Lastly, the enemy called death shall be destroyed. For he has subjected all things under his feet. And although he says,	26 L'ultima poi ad esser distrutta sarà la morte nemica: imperocché tutte le cose ha soggettate a' piedi di lui. Or quando dice:
27 “All things have been subjected to him,” without doubt he does not include the One who has subjected all things to him.	27 Tutte le cose sono soggette a lui: senza dubbio si eccetua colui, che ha soggettate a lui tutte le cose.
28 And when all things will have been subjected to him, then even the Son himself will be subjected to the One who subjected all things to him, so that God may be all in all.	28 Allorché poi saranno state soggettate a lui tutte le cose: allora anche lo stesso figlio sarà soggetto a lui, che gli ha assoggettata ogni cosa, onde Dio sia il tutto in tutte le cose.
29 Otherwise, what will those who are being baptized for the dead do, if the dead do not rise again at all? Why then are they being baptized for them?	29 Altrimenti che faranno quegli, i quali si battezzano per li morti, se assolutamente i morti non risorgono? E perché si battezzano per quegli?
30 Why also do we endure trials every hour?	30 E noi pure perché ci esponghiamo ogn' ora ai pericoli?
31 Daily I die, by means of your boasting, brothers: you whom I have in Christ Jesus our Lord.	31 Io muojo ogni giorno, (lo giuro) per la gloria vostra, che è mia in Cristo Gesù Signor nostro.
32 If, according to man, I fought with the beasts at Ephesus, how would that benefit me, if the dead do not rise again? “Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we shall die.”	32 Se (per parlare da uomo) combattei in Efeso con le bestie, che mi giova, se i morti non risorgono? Mangiamo, e beviamo, che doman si muore.
33 Do not be led astray. Evil communication corrupts good morals.	33 Non vi lasciate sedurre: i discorsi cattivi corrompono i buoni costumi.
34 Be vigilant, you just ones, and do not be willing to sin. For certain persons have an ignorance of God. I say this to you with respect.	34 Vegliate, o giusti, e non peccate imperocché certuni ignorano Dio, parlo, perché ne abbiate rossore.
35 But someone may say, “How do the dead rise again?” or, “What type of body do they return with?”	35 Ma dirà taluno: come risuscitano i morti? E con qual corpo ritorneranno?
36 How foolish! What you sow cannot be brought back to life, unless it first dies.	36 Stolto, quel, che tu semini, non prende vita, se prima non muore.
37 And what you sow is not the body that will be in the future, but a bare grain, such as of wheat, or of some other grain.	37 E seminando, non semini il corpo, che dee venire, ma un nudo granello, per esempio, di frumento, o di alcun altra cosa.
38 For God gives it a body according to his will, and according to each seed’s proper body.	38 Ma Dio gli da corpo nel modo, che a lui piace: e a ciascun seme il suo proprio corpo.
39 Not all flesh is the same flesh. But one is indeed of men, another truly is of beasts, another is of birds, and another is of fish.	39 Non ogni carne (è) la stessa carne: ma altra è la carne degli uomini, altra poi quella delle bestie, altra quella degli uccelli, altra quella de' pesci.
40 Also, there are heavenly bodies and earthly bodies. But while the one, certainly, has the glory of heaven, the other has the glory of earth.	40 E (v' ha) de' corpi celesti, e de' corpi terrestri: ma altra la vaghezza de' celesti, e altra de' terrestri,
41 One has the brightness of the sun, another the brightness of the moon, and another the brightness of the stars. For even star differs from star in brightness.	41 Altra la chiarezza del sole, altra la chiarezza della luna, e altra la chiarezza delle stelle. Imperocché v'ha differenza tra stella, e stella nella chiarezza:
42 So it is also with the resurrection of the dead. What is sown in corruption shall rise to incorruption.	42 Cosi pure la risurrezione de' morti. Si semina (corpo) corruttibile, sorgerà incorruttibile.
43 What is sown in dishonor shall rise to glory. What is sown in weakness shall rise to power.	43 Si semina ignobile, sorgerà glorioso: si semina inerte, sorgerà robusto.
44 What is sown with an animal body shall rise with a spiritual body. If there is an animal body, there is also a spiritual one.	44 Si semina un corpo animale, sorgerà un corpo spirituale. Se v'ha un corpo animale, v'ha pure un corpo spirituale, come sta scritto.
45 Just as it was written that the first man, Adam, was made with a living soul, so shall the last Adam be made with a spirit brought back to life.	45 Il primo uomo Adamo fu fatto anima vivente, l'ultimo Adamo spirito vivificante.
46 So what is, at first, not spiritual, but animal, next becomes spiritual.	46 Ma non è prima lo spirituale, ma si l'animale: e poi lo spirituale.
47 The first man, being earthly, was of the earth; the second man, being heavenly, will be of heaven.	47 Il primo uomo della terra terrestre: il secondo uomo dal cielo celeste.
48 Such things as are like the earth are earthly; and such things as are like the heavens are heavenly.	48 Quale il terrestre, tali anche i terrestri: quale il celeste, tali anche i celestiali.
49 And so, just as we have carried the image of what is earthly, let us also carry the image of what is heavenly.	49 Siccome adunque abbiam portato l'immagine del terreno, portiamo anche l'immagine del celeste.
50 Now I say this, brothers, because flesh and blood is not able to possess the kingdom of God; neither will what is corrupt possess what is incorrupt.	50 Dico questo, o fratelli, perché la carne, e il sangue non possono ereditare il regno di Dio: né la corruzione renderà l'incorruttibilità.
51 Behold, I tell you a mystery. Certainly, we shall all rise again, but we shall not all be transformed:	51 Ecco, che io vi dico un mistero: risorgerem veramente tutti, ma non tutti saremo cangiati.
52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will rise up, incorruptible. And we shall be transformed.	52 In un momento, in un batter d'occhio, all'ultima tromba: imperocché suonerà la tromba, e i morti risorgeranno incorrotti: e noi saremo cangiati.
53 Thus, it is necessary for this corruptibility to be clothed with incorruptibility, and for this mortality to be clothed with immortality.	53 Imperocché fa d'uopo, che questo corruttibile dell'incorruttibilità ti rivesta: e questo mortale si rivesta dell'immortalità.
54 And when this mortality has been clothed with immortality, then the word that was written shall occur: “Death is swallowed up in victory.”	54 Quando poi questo mortale si sarà rivestito dell'immortalità, allora sarà adempiuta la parola, che sta scritta: è stata tracannata la morte nella vittoria.
55 “O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?”	55 Dov'è, o morte, la tua vittoria? Dov' è, o morte, il tuo pungiglione?
56 Now the sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.	56 Il pungiglione poi della morte è il peccato: e la forza del peccato è fa legge.
57 But thanks be to God, who has given us victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.	57 Ma grazie a Dio, il quale c'ha dato vittoria per Gesù Cristo Signor nostro.
58 And so, my beloved brothers, be steadfast and unmovable, abounding always in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not useless in the Lord.	58 Per la qual cosa, fratelli miei cari, siate stabili, ed immobili, abbondando sempre nell'opera del Signore, poichè sapete, come il vostro travaglio non è infruttuoso nel Signore.
