| 11 Deste modo vos será concedida largamente a entrada no reino eterno de Nosso Senhor e Salvador Jesus Cristo. | 11 for in this way you wil be given the generous gift of entry to the eternal kingdom of our Lord andSaviour Jesus Christ. |
| 12 Pelo que não cessarei de vos admoestar sempre sobre estas coisas, embora estejais instruídos e confirmados na presente verdade. | 12 That is why I wil always go on recal ing the same truths to you, even though you already know themand are firmly fixed in these truths. |

| 19 Temos ainda a palavra mais firme dos profetas, à qual fazeis bem em prestar atenção, como a uma lucerna que alumia num lugar escuro, até que venha o dia, e a estrelada manhã nasça em vossos corações. | 19 So we have confirmation of the words of the prophets; and you wil be right to pay attention to it as to a lamp for lighting a way through the dark, until the dawn comes and the morning star rises in your minds. |
| 20 Atendei antes de tudo a isto: que nenhuma profecia da Escritura é de interpretação particular. | 20 At the same time, we must recognise that the interpretation of scriptural prophecy is never a matter forthe individual. |
