1 Bem-aventurado o homem que não segue o conselho dos ímpios, e não anda pelo caminho dos pecadores, e não se senta na reunião (dos maus);	1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
2 antes põe as suas complacências na lei do Senhor, e na sua lei medita de dia e de noite.	2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
3 Ele é como a árvore plantada junto às correntes das águas, que a seu tempo dá fruto, cujas folhas não murcham, e todas as coisas que faz têm bom êxito.	3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
4 Não assim os ímpios, não assim; mas são como a palheira que o vento leva.	4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
5 Por isso os ímpios não se sustentarão no (dia do) juízo, nem os pecadores (estarão) na congregação dos justos,	5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
6 porque o Senhor cuida do caminho dos justos, e o caminho dos impios perecerá.	6 For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
