SMITH VAN DYKE	NEW JERUSALEM
1 لماذا ارتجّت الامم وتفكّر الشعوب في الباطل‎.	1 Why this uproar among the nations, this impotent muttering of the peoples?
2 ‎قام ملوك الارض وتآمر الرؤساء معا على الرب وعلى مسيحه قائلين	2 Kings of the earth take up position, princes plot together against Yahweh and his anointed,
3 لنقطع قيودهما ولنطرح عنا ربطهما	3 'Now let us break their fetters! Now let us throw off their bonds!'
4 الساكن في السموات يضحك. الرب يستهزئ بهم‎.	4 He who is enthroned in the heavens laughs, Yahweh makes a mockery of them,
5 ‎حينئذ يتكلم عليهم بغضبه ويرجفهم بغيظه‎.	5 then in his anger rebukes them, in his rage he strikes them with terror.
6 ‎اما انا فقد مسحت ملكي على صهيون جبل قدسي	6 'I myself have anointed my king on Zion my holy mountain.'
7 اني اخبر من جهة قضاء الرب. قال لي انت ابني. انا اليوم ولدتك	7 I wil proclaim the decree of Yahweh: He said to me, 'You are my son, today have I fathered you.
8 اسألني فاعطيك الامم ميراثا لك واقاصي الارض ملكا لك‎.	8 Ask of me, and I shal give you the nations as your birthright, the whole wide world as your possession.
9 ‎تحطمهم بقضيب من حديد. مثل اناء خزّاف تكسّرهم	9 With an iron sceptre you wil break them, shatter them like so many pots.'
10 فالآن يا ايها الملوك تعقلوا. تأدبوا يا قضاة الارض‎.	10 So now, you kings, come to your senses, you earthly rulers, learn your lesson!
11 ‎اعبدوا الرب بخوف واهتفوا برعدة‎.	11 In fear be submissive to Yahweh;
12 ‎قبّلوا الابن لئلا يغضب فتبيدوا من الطريق لانه عن قليل يتقد غضبه. طوبى لجميع المتكلين عليه	12 with trembling kiss his feet, lest he be angry and your way come to nothing, for his fury flares up in amoment. How blessed are al who take refuge in him!
