1 Padroni, date ai servi il giusto e l'onesto, sapendo che anche voi avete un padrone in cielo.	1 Masters, treat your slaves justly and fairly, realizing that you too have a Master in heaven.
2 Perseverate nella preghiera e vegliate in essa con riconoscenza;	2 Persevere in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving;
3 pregate anche per noi, affinché Dio ci apra una porta alla parola, per predicare il mistero del Cristo, a causa del quale sono prigioniero,	3 at the same time, pray for us, too, that God may open a door to us for the word, to speak of the mystery of Christ, for which I am in prison,
4 in modo che lo manifesti predicando come si conviene.	4 that I may make it clear, as I must speak.
5 Comportatevi saggiamente con gli estranei cogliendo le occasioni opportune.	5 Conduct yourselves wisely toward outsiders, making the most of the opportunity.
6 Il vostro discorso sia sempre pieno di grazia, condito con sale, in modo da saper come rispondere a ciascuno.	6 Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you know how you should respond to each one.

17 Dite ad Archippo: bada di compiere bene il ministero che hai ricevuto nel Signore.	17 And tell Archippus, "See that you fulfill the ministry that you received in the Lord."
