LA SACRA BIBBIA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Differente è chi consacra se stesso a meditare nella legge dell'Altissimo. Ricerca la sapienza di tutti gli antichi e si occupa delle profezie.	1 Not so with one who concentrates his mind and his meditation on the Law of the Most High. 2 Conserva i detti degli uomini famosi e penetra la complessità delle parabole.	2 He preserves the discourses of famous men, he is at home with the niceties of parables.

4 In mezzo ai grandi offrirà i suoi servizi e starà alla presenza dei governanti; visiterà le terre dei popoli stranieri per provare il bene e il male fra gli uomini.	4 He enters the service of princes, he is seen in the presence of rulers. He travels in foreign countries, hehas experienced human good and human evil.
5 Gli sta a cuore l'alzarsi presto per il Signore che l'ha fatto; davanti all'Altissimo farà la sua supplica, aprirà la sua bocca nella preghiera, implorerà per i suoi peccati.	5 At dawn and with al his heart he turns to the Lord his Creator; he pleads in the presence of the MostHigh, he opens his mouth in prayer and makes entreaty for his sins.
6 Se il Signore grande lo vuole, sarà riempito di spirito d'intelligenza; effonderà le parole della sua sapienza e nella preghiera ringrazierà il Signore.	6 If such be the wil of the great Lord, he wil be filled with the spirit of intel igence, he wil shower forthwords of wisdom, and in prayer give thanks to the Lord.
7 E' disposto a offrire consigli e conoscenza e riflette sulle cose nascoste già apprese;	7 He will grow upright in purpose and learning, he will ponder the Lord's hidden mysteries.
8 manifesta la dottrina imparata con lo studio e va fiero della legge dell'alleanza del Signore.	8 He will display the instruction he has received, taking his pride in the Law of the Lord's covenant.
9 Molti loderanno la sua intelligenza, essa non sarà mai dimenticata; la sua memoria non sarà perduta e il suo nome vivrà per tutte le generazioni.	9 Many wil praise his intel igence and it wil never be forgotten. His memory will not disappear,generation after generation his name will live.
10 I popoli parleranno della sua sapienza e l'assemblea canterà la sua lode.	10 Nations wil proclaim his wisdom, the assembly will celebrate his praises.
11 Se vive a lungo lascerà, più che mille, un nome, e se muore, quanto ha fatto è sufficiente.	11 If he lives long, his name will be more glorious than a thousand others, and if he dies, that wil satisfyhim just as wel .

15 Riconoscete la grandezza del suo nome, e ringraziatelo con la lode che gli spetta, con i canti delle labbra e con le arpe; dite così nel ringraziamento:	15 Declare the greatness of his name, proclaim his praise with song and with lyre, and this is how youmust sing his praises:
16 Le opere del Signore son tutte molto belle, ogni suo comando si compie a suo tempo. Non deve dirsi: "Cos'è questo? Perché quello?", perché ogni cosa sarà riutilizzata a suo tempo.	16 'How wonderful, the actions of the Lord! Whatever he orders is done at the proper time!' You must notsay, 'What is this? 27 Tutte queste cose sono un bene per i buoni, ma si volgono in male per i peccatori.	27 Al these are good for those who are good, but turn out bad for sinners.
