1 Salmo. Di Davide. Ascolta, Signore, la mia preghiera; porgi l'orecchio alla mia supplica, nella tua fedeltà; esaudiscimi, nella tua giustizia.	1 A psalm of David. LORD, hear my prayer; in your faithfulness listen to my pleading; answer me in your justice.
2 Non entrare in giudizio con il tuo servo, poiché nessun vivente risulta giusto al tuo cospetto.	2 Do not enter into judgment with your servant; before you no living being can be just.
3 Sì, il nemico ha perseguitato l'anima mia, ha prostrato a terra la mia vita, mi ha relegato in luoghi tenebrosi, come i morti dei tempi lontani.	3 The enemy has pursued me; they have crushed my life to the ground. They have left me in darkness like those long dead.
4 Vien meno in me il mio spirito, nel mio interno si strugge il mio cuore.	4 My spirit is faint within me; my heart is dismayed.
5 Ricordo i giorni passati, medito ogni tua azione; rifletto sulle opere delle tue mani.	5 I remember the days of old; I ponder all your deeds; the works of your hands I recall.
6 Protendo verso di te le mie mani, come una terra riarsa è protesa verso di te l'anima mia.	6 I stretch out my hands to you; I thirst for you like a parched land. Selah
7 Fa' presto: rispondimi, Signore; viene meno il mio spirito. Non nascondere da me il tuo volto, perché io non sia accomunato a quelli che discendono nella fossa.	7 Hasten to answer me, LORD; for my spirit fails me. Do not hide your face from me, lest I become like those descending to the pit.
8 Fammi udire al mattino la tua misericordia, poiché in te confido. Fammi conoscere la via da percorrere: sì, verso di te elevo l'anima mia.	8 At dawn let me hear of your kindness, for in you I trust. Show me the path I should walk, for to you I entrust my life.
9 Liberami, Signore, dai miei nemici: verso di te mi rifugio.	9 Rescue me, LORD, from my foes, for in you I hope.
10 Insegnami a fare la tua volontà, perché tu sei il mio Dio; il tuo spirito buono sia la mia guida verso una terra piana.	10 Teach me to do your will, for you are my God. May your kind spirit guide me on ground that is level.
11 Per amore del tuo nome mi darai vita, Signore; per la tua clemenza farai uscire dall'angustia l'anima mia.	11 For your name's sake, LORD, give me life; in your justice lead me out of distress.
12 Per la tua misericordia sterminerai i miei nemici, e tutti quelli che avversano l'anima mia tu li annienterai, poiché io sono tuo servo.	12 In your kindness put an end to my foes; destroy all who attack me, for I am your servant. Psalm
