1 Canto delle ascensioni. Beati tutti quelli che temono il Signore e camminano nelle sue vie!	1 A Canticle in steps. They have often fought against me from my youth, let Israel now say:
2 Della fatica delle tue mani certamente mangerai. Beato te: avrai prosperità.	2 they have often fought against me from my youth, yet they could not prevail over me.
3 La tua sposa come vite feconda nell'intimità della tua casa; i tuoi figli come virgulti d'olivo, intorno alla tua mensa.	3 The sinners have made fabrications behind my back. They have prolonged their iniquity.
4 Ecco com'è benedetto l'uomo che teme il Signore.	4 The just Lord will cut the necks of sinners.
5 Ti benedica il Signore da Sion, affinché tu goda della prosperità di Gerusalemme, per tutti i giorni della tua vita.	5 Let all those who hate Zion be confounded and turned backwards.
6 Possa tu vedere i figli dei tuoi figli. Pace su Israele!	6 Let them be like grass on the rooftops, which withers before it can be pulled up:
	7 with it, he who reaps does not fill his hand and he who gathers sheaves does not fill his bosom.
