LA SACRA BIBBIA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Allora Giobbe rispose:	1 Job spoke next. He said:
2 "Ho sentito molti discorsi come questi; tutti voi siete consolatori importuni.	2 How often have I heard al this before! What sorry comforters you are!
3 Non c'è un limite per i discorsi vuoti? O che cosa ti costringe a rispondere ancora?	3 'When wil these windy arguments be over?' or again, 'What sickness drives you to defend yourself?'
4 Ora anch'io potrei parlare come voi, se foste al mio posto; moltiplicherei i discorsi contro di voi, scuotendo contro di voi il mio capo.	4 Oh yes! I too could talk as you do, if you were in my place; I could overwhelm you with speeches,shaking my head over you,
5 Vi darei forza con la mia bocca, vi calmerei muovendo le labbra.	5 and speak words of encouragement, and then have no more to say.

20 colui che interpreta i miei sentimenti presso Dio! Verso di lui alzo i miei occhi piangenti.	20 Interpreter of my thoughts there with God, before whom flow my tears,
21 Egli sia arbitro fra l'uomo e Dio, come tra un uomo e il suo avversario.	21 let my anguish plead the cause of a man at grips with God, just as a man might defend his fel ow.
22 Perché passano i miei anni contati e io intraprenderò il viaggio senza ritorno.	22 For the years of my life are numbered, and I am leaving by the road of no return.
