LA SACRA BIBBIA	DOUAI-RHEIMS
1 Davide, insieme ai capi dell'esercito, separò per il servizio i figli di Asaf, di Eman e di Idutun, che eseguivano la musica sacra con le cetre, le arpe e con i cembali. Il numero degli uomini che esercitavano questo servizio era il seguente:	1 Moreover David and the chief .officers of the army separated for the ministry the sons of Asaph, and of Heman, and of Idithun : to prophesy with harps, and with psalteries, and with cymbals according to their number serving in their appointed office.
2 Per i figli di Asaf: Zaccur, Giuseppe, Netania, Asareela: i figli di Asaf erano sotto la direzione di Asaf, che eseguiva la musica sacra secondo le istruzioni del re.	2 Of the sons of Asaph: Zacchur, and Joseph, and Nathania, and Asarela, sons of Asaph: under the hand of Asaph prophesying near the king.
3 Per Idutun i figli di Idutun: Ghedalia, Seri, Isaia, Simei, Casabià, Mattatia: sei sotto la direzione del loro padre Idutun, che profetava al suono delle cetre per celebrare e lodare il Signore.	3 And of Idithun: the sons of Idithun, Godolias, Serf, Jeseias, and Hasabias, and Mathathias, six, under the hand of their father Idithun, who prophesied with a harp to give thanks and to praise the Lord.
4 Per Eman i figli di Eman: Bukkia, Mattania, Uzzièl, Sebuel, Ierimot, Anania, Anani, Eliata, Ghiddalti, Romamti-E'zer, Iosbekasa, Malloti, Cotir, Macaziot.	4 Of Heman also: the sons of Heman, Bocciau, Mathaniau, Oziel, Subuel, and Jerimoth, Hananias, Hanani, Eliatha, Geddelthi, and Romemthiezer, and Jesbacassa, Mellothi, Othir, Mahazioth:
5 Tutti questi erano figli di Eman, veggente del re, grazie alla promessa divina di esaltare la sua potenza. Dio diede a Eman quattordici figli e tre figlie.	5 All these were the sons of Heman the seer of the king in the words of God, to lift up the horn: and God gave to Heman fourteen sons and three daughters.
6 Tutti costoro erano sotto la direzione del loro padre per cantare nel tempio del Signore con cembali, arpe e cetre, per il servizio del tempio di Dio, sotto gli ordini del re.	6 All these under their father's hand were distributed to sing in the temple of the Lord, with cymbals, and psalteries and harps, for the service of the house of the Lord near the king: to wit, Asaph, and Idithun, and Heman.
7 Il loro numero, compresi i loro fratelli esperti nel canto del Signore, tutti veramente capaci, era di duecentottantotto.	7 And the number of them with their brethren, that taught the song of the Lord, all the teachers, were two hundred and eighty-eight,
8 Per i turni di servizio furono sorteggiati i piccoli come i grandi, i maestri come i discepoli.	8 And they cast lots by their courses, the elder equally with the younger, the learned and the unlearned together.
9 La prima sorte toccò a Giuseppe, con i fratelli e i figli: dodici. La seconda toccò a Ghedalia, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;	9 And the first lot came forth to Joseph, who was of Asaph. The second to Godolias, to him and his sons, and his brethren twelve.
10 la terza a Zaccur, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;	10 The third to Zachur, to his sons and his brethren twelve.
11 la quarta a Isri, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;	11 ,11The fourth to Isari, to his sons and his brethren twelve.
12 la quinta a Natania, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;	12 The fifth to Nathania, to his sons and his brethren twelve.
13 la sesta a Bukkia, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;	13 The sixth to Bocciau, to his sons and his brethren twelve.
14 la settima a Iesareela, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;	14 The seventh to Isreela, to his sons and his brethren twelve.
15 l'ottava a Isaia, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;	15 The eighth to Jesaia, to his sons and his brethren twelve.
16 la nona a Mattania, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;	16 The ninth to Mathanaias, to his sons and his brethren twelve.
17 la decima a Simei, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;	17 The tenth to Semeias, to his sons and his brethren twelve.
18 l'undicesima ad Azarel, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;	18 The eleventh to Azareel, to his sons and his brethren twelve.
19 la dodicesima a Casabià, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;	19 The twelfth to Hasabia, to his sons and his brethren twelve.
20 la tredicesima a Subaèl, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;	20 The thirteenth to Subael, to his sons and his brethren twelve.
21 la quattordicesima a Mattatia, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;	21 The fourteenth to Mathathias, to his sons and his brethren twelve.
22 la quindicesima a Ierimot, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;	22 The fifteenth to Jerimoth, to his sons and his brethren twelve.
23 la sedicesima ad Anania, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;	23 The sixteenth to Hananias, to his sons and his brethren twelve.
24 la diciassettesima a Iosbekasa, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;	24 The seventeenth to Jesbacassa, to his sons and his brethren twelve.
25 la diciottesima ad Anani, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;	25 The eighteenth to Hanani, to his sons and his brethren twelve.
26 la diciannovesima a Malloti, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;	26 The nineteenth to Mellothi, to his sons and his brethren twelve.
