Zechariah 2

1 And I lifted up my eyes, and I saw, and behold, a man, and in his hand was a measuring line.	1 Alcé luego mis ojos y tuve una visión: Eran cuatro cuernos.
2 And I said, “Where are you going?” And he said to me, “To measure Jerusalem, so that I may see how great its width and how great its length may be.”	2 Y dije al ángel que hablaba conmigo: «¿Qué son éstos?» Me dijo: «Son los cuernos que dispersaron a Judá (a Israel) y a Jerusalén».
3 And behold, the angel, who had been speaking with me, departed, and another angel went out to meet him.	3 Yahveh me hizo ver después cuatro herreros.
4 And he said to him: Hurry, speak to this young man, saying: Jerusalem will be inhabited without walls, because of the multitude of men and beasts of burden in its midst.	4 Y dije: «¿Qué vienen a hacer éstos?» El habló y dijo: «(Aquellos son los cuernos que dispersaron a Judá, hasta que nadie osó levantar cabeza.) Y éstos han venido a espantarlos (a abatir los cuernos de las naciones que alzaron el cuerno contra la tierra de Judá para dispersarla)».
5 And I will be to it, says the Lord, a wall of fire all around. And in glory, I will be in its midst.	5 Alcé los ojos y tuve una visión: Era un hombre con una cuerda de medir en la mano.
6 O, O flee from the land of the North, says the Lord, for I have scattered you into the four winds of heaven, says the Lord.	6 Le dije: «¿A dónde vas?» Me dijo: «A medir a Jerusalén, a ver cuánta es su anchura y cuánta su longitud».
7 O Zion, flee, you who dwell with the daughter of Babylon.	7 En esto, salió el ángel que hablaba conmigo, y otro ángel salió a su encuentro
8 For thus says the Lord of hosts: After the glory, he has sent me to the Gentiles, which have despoiled you. For he who touches you, touches the pupil of my eye.	8 y le dijo: «Corre, habla a ese joven y dile: Como las ciudades abiertas será habitada Jerusalén, debido a la multitud de hombres y ganados que habrá dentro de ella.
9 For behold, I lift up my hand over them, and they will be a prey to those who had served them. And you will know that the Lord of hosts has sent me.	9 Y yo seré para ella - oráculo de Yahveh - muralla de fuego en torno, y dentro de ella seré gloria».
10 Sing praise and rejoice, daughter of Zion. For behold, I approach, and I will dwell in your midst, says the Lord.	10 ¡Hala, hala, huid del país del Norte - oráculo de Yahveh, - ya que a los cuatro vientos del cielo os esparcí yo! - oráculo de Yahveh -
11 And many nations will be joined to the Lord in that day, and they will be my people, and I will dwell in your midst. And you will know that the Lord of hosts has sent me to you.	11 ¡Hala, sálvate, Sión, tú que moras en Babilonia!
12 And the Lord will possess his portion, Judah, in the sanctified land, and still he will single out Jerusalem.	12 Pues así dice Yahveh Sebaot que tras la gloria me ha enviado a las naciones que os despojaron: «El que os toca a vosotros a la niña de mi ojo toca».
13 Let all flesh be silent before the face of the Lord: for he has arisen from his holy dwelling place.	13 He aquí que yo alzo mi mano contra ellas, y serán despojo de sus mismos esclavos. Sabréis así que Yahveh Sebaot me ha enviado.
	14 Grita de gozo y regocíjate, hija de Sión, pues he aquí que yo vengo a morar dentro de ti, oráculo de Yahveh.
	15 Muchas naciones se unirán a Yahveh aquel día: serán para mí un pueblo, y yo moraré en medio de ti. Sabrás así que Yahveh Sebaot me ha enviado a ti.
	16 Poseerá Yahveh a Judá, porción suya en la Tierra Santa, y elegirá de nuevo a Jerusalén.
	17 ¡Silencio, toda carne, delante de Yahveh, porque él se despierta de su santa Morada!
