2 O Lord, do not rebuke me in your fury, nor chastise me in your anger.	2 O Signore, non mi riprendere nel tuo sdegno, non mi punire nell'ira tua.
3 Have mercy on me, Lord, for I am weak. Heal me, Lord, for my bones have become disturbed,	3 Abbi pietà di me, o Signore, chè son malato, ridonami la salute, perchè le mie ossa sono sconquassate.
4 and my soul has been very troubled. But as for you, Lord, when?	4 Anche l'anima mia è oltremodo turbata. Ma tu, o Signore, fino a quando...?
5 Turn to me, Lord, and rescue my soul. Save me because of your mercy.	5 Volgiti, o Signore, e libera l'anima mia, salvami per la tua misericordia.
6 For there is no one in death who would be mindful of you. And who will confess to you in Hell?	6 Perchè nella morte non v'è chi si ricordi di te. E nel soggiorno dei morti chi ti canterà lodi?
7 I have labored in my groaning. Every night, with my tears, I will wash my bed and drench my blanket.	7 Io sono sfinito dal piangere. Lavo tutte le notti il mio letto, bagno di lacrime il mio giaciglio.
8 My eye has been troubled by rage. I have grown old among all my enemies.	8 Il mio occhio è diventato torvo dall'indignazione: sono invecchiato in mezzo a tanti miei nemici.
9 Scatter before me, all you who work iniquity, for the Lord has heard the voice of my weeping.	9 Lungi da me voi tutti, operatori d'iniquità! perchè il Signore ha sentita la voce del mio pianto.
10 The Lord has heard my supplication. The Lord has accepted my prayer.	10 Il Signore ha esaudita la mia supplica, il Signore ha accolta la mia preghiera.
11 Let all my enemies be ashamed and together be greatly troubled. May they be converted and become ashamed very quickly.	11 Si vergognino e sian pieni di spavento tutti i miei nemici, sian volti in fuga e svergognati in un batter d'occhio.
