1 In parts according to verses. A Psalm of David. For the octave.	1 Ao mestre de canto. Com instrumentos de corda. Em oitava. Salmo de Davi. Senhor, em vossa cólera não me repreendais, em vosso furor não me castigueis.
2 O Lord, do not rebuke me in your fury, nor chastise me in your anger.	2 Tende piedade de mim, Senhor, porque desfaleço; sarai-me, pois sinto abalados os meus ossos.
3 Have mercy on me, Lord, for I am weak. Heal me, Lord, for my bones have become disturbed,	3 Minha alma está muito perturbada; vós, porém, Senhor, até quando?...
4 and my soul has been very troubled. But as for you, Lord, when?	4 Voltai, Senhor, livrai minha alma; salvai-me, pela vossa bondade.
5 Turn to me, Lord, and rescue my soul. Save me because of your mercy.	5 Porque no seio da morte não há quem de vós se lembre; quem vos glorificará na habitação dos mortos?
6 For there is no one in death who would be mindful of you. And who will confess to you in Hell?	6 Eu me esgoto gemendo; todas as noites banho de pranto minha cama, com lágrimas inundo o meu leito.
7 I have labored in my groaning. Every night, with my tears, I will wash my bed and drench my blanket.	7 De amargura meus olhos se turvam, esmorecem por causa dos que me oprimem.
8 My eye has been troubled by rage. I have grown old among all my enemies.	8 Apartai-vos de mim, vós todos que praticais o mal, porque o Senhor atendeu às minhas lágrimas.
9 Scatter before me, all you who work iniquity, for the Lord has heard the voice of my weeping.	9 O Senhor escutou a minha oração, o Senhor acolheu a minha súplica.
10 The Lord has heard my supplication. The Lord has accepted my prayer.	10 Que todos os meus inimigos sejam envergonhados e aterrados; recuem imediatamente, cobertos de confusão!
11 Let all my enemies be ashamed and together be greatly troubled. May they be converted and become ashamed very quickly.
