Psalms 6

2 O Lord, do not rebuke me in your fury, nor chastise me in your anger.	2 Yahvé, ne me châtie point dans ta colère, ne me reprends point dans ta fureur.
3 Have mercy on me, Lord, for I am weak. Heal me, Lord, for my bones have become disturbed,	3 Pitié pour moi, Yahvé, je suis à bout de force, guéris-moi, Yahvé, mes os sont bouleversés,
4 and my soul has been very troubled. But as for you, Lord, when?	4 mon âme est toute bouleversée. Mais toi, Yahvé, jusques à quand?
5 Turn to me, Lord, and rescue my soul. Save me because of your mercy.	5 Reviens, Yahvé, délivre mon âme, sauve-moi, en raison de ton amour.
6 For there is no one in death who would be mindful of you. And who will confess to you in Hell?	6 Car, dans la mort, nul souvenir de toi: dans le shéol, qui te louerait?
7 I have labored in my groaning. Every night, with my tears, I will wash my bed and drench my blanket.	7 Je me suis épuisé en gémissements, chaque nuit, je baigne ma couche; de mes larmes j'arrose monlit,
8 My eye has been troubled by rage. I have grown old among all my enemies.	8 mon oeil est rongé de pleurs. Insolence chez tous mes oppresseurs;
9 Scatter before me, all you who work iniquity, for the Lord has heard the voice of my weeping.	9 loin de moi, tous les malfaisants! Car Yahvé entend la voix de mes sanglots;
10 The Lord has heard my supplication. The Lord has accepted my prayer.	10 Yahvé entend ma supplication, Yahvé accueillera ma prière.
11 Let all my enemies be ashamed and together be greatly troubled. May they be converted and become ashamed very quickly.	11 Tous mes ennemis, confondus, bouleversés, qu'ils reculent, soudain confondus!
