Zechariah 2

1 I raised my eyes and looked; there were four horns.	1 Aztán felemeltem szememet és íme, négy szarvat láttam.
2 Then I asked the angel who spoke with me what these were. He answered me, "These are the horns that scattered Judah and Israeland Jerusalem."	2 Mikor megkérdeztem az angyalt, aki bennem beszélt: ‘Mik ezek?’ – ő azt mondta nekem: ‘Ezek azok a szarvak, amelyek szétszórták Júdát, Izraelt és Jeruzsálemet.’
3 Then the LORD showed me four blacksmiths. And I asked, "What are these coming to do?"	3 Aztán az Úr négy kovácsot mutatott nekem.
4 And he said, "Here are the horns that scattered Judah, so that no man raised his head any more; but these have come to terrify them: to cast down the horns of the nations that raised their horns to scatter the land of Judah."	4 Mikor megkérdeztem: ‘Miért jöttek ezek?’ – ő azt felelte: ‘Azok a szarvak azok, amelyek egy szálig szétszórták Júdát, úgy, hogy senki sem emelhette fel közülük fejét; de eljöttek ezek, hogy elrémítsék őket és letörjék azon nemzetek szarvait, amelyek felemelték szarvukat Júda országa ellen, hogy szétszórják.’
5 Again I raised my eyes and looked: there was a man with a measuring line in his hand.	5 Aztán felemeltem szememet, és íme, egy férfit láttam, kinek kezében mérőzsinór volt.
6 "Where are you going?" I asked. "To measure Jerusalem," he answered; "to see how great is its width and how great its length."	6 Megkérdeztem: ‘Hová mégy?’ Azt mondta nekem: ‘Jeruzsálemet megmérni, hogy lássam: mennyi a szélessége és mennyi a hosszúsága?’
7 Then the angel who spoke with me advanced, and another angel came out to meet him,	7 Ekkor az az angyal, aki bennem beszélt, elindult, és egy másik angyal jött elébe,
8 and said to him, "Run, tell this to that young man: People will live in Jerusalem as though in open country, because of the multitude of men and beasts in her midst.	8 és ennek ő azt mondta: ‘Siess, szólj annak az ifjúnak és mondd: Fal nem övezi majd Jeruzsálem lakóit, oly sok lesz benne az ember és az állat,
9 But I will be for her an encircling wall of fire, says the LORD, and I will be the glory in her midst."	9 és én – mondja az Úr –, tüzes fal leszek számára körös-körül, és dicsőségére leszek benne.
10 Up, up! Flee from the land of the north, says the LORD; for I scatter you to the four winds of heaven, says the LORD.	10 Jaj, jaj, meneküljetek Észak földjéről – mondja az Úr –, mert az ég négy szélére szórtalak szét titeket – mondja az Úr. –
11 Up, escape to Zion! you who dwell in daughter Babylon.	11 Jaj, menekülj, Sion, aki Babilon leányánál laksz,
12 For thus said the LORD of hosts (after he had already sent me) concerning the nations that have plundered you: Whoever touches you touches the apple of my eye.	12 mert így szól a Seregek Ura, akinek dicsősége elküldött engem azokhoz a nemzetekhez, amelyek kifosztottak titeket: aki hozzátok nyúl, az én szemem fényéhez nyúl.
13 See, I wave my hand over them; they become plunder for their slaves. Thus you shall know that the LORD of hosts has sent me.	13 Mert íme, én felemelem ellenük kezemet, és ők prédájává lesznek azoknak, akik szolgáltak nekik; és ti akkor majd megtudjátok, hogy a Seregek Ura küldött engem.
14 Sing and rejoice, O daughter Zion! See, I am coming to dwell among you, says the LORD.	14 Ujjongj és örvendj, Sion leánya, mert íme, én majd eljövök és benned lakom – mondja az Úr. –
15 Many nations shall join themselves to the LORD on that day, and they shall be his people, and he will dwell among you, and you shall know that the LORD of hosts has sent me to you.	15 Azon a napon majd sok nemzet csatlakozik az Úrhoz és az én népemmé lesznek, és én majd nálad lakom; és te majd megtudod, hogy a Seregek Ura küldött engem hozzád.
16 The LORD will possess Judah as his portion of the holy land, and he will again choose Jerusalem.	16 És az Úr majd birtokába veszi Júdát, ez az ő osztályrésze lesz a szent földön, és ismét választottjává teszi Jeruzsálemet.
17 Silence, all mankind, in the presence of the LORD! for he stirs forth from his holy dwelling.	17 Hallgasson el minden, ami test, az Úr előtt, mert ő immár el is indult szent lakóhelyéről!’
