Zechariah 2

1 I raised my eyes and looked; there were four horns.	1 Alcé luego mis ojos y tuve una visión: Eran cuatro cuernos.
2 Then I asked the angel who spoke with me what these were. He answered me, "These are the horns that scattered Judah and Israeland Jerusalem."	2 Y dije al ángel que hablaba conmigo: «¿Qué son éstos?» Me dijo: «Son los cuernos que dispersaron a Judá (a Israel) y a Jerusalén».
3 Then the LORD showed me four blacksmiths. And I asked, "What are these coming to do?"	3 Yahveh me hizo ver después cuatro herreros.
4 And he said, "Here are the horns that scattered Judah, so that no man raised his head any more; but these have come to terrify them: to cast down the horns of the nations that raised their horns to scatter the land of Judah."	4 Y dije: «¿Qué vienen a hacer éstos?» El habló y dijo: «(Aquellos son los cuernos que dispersaron a Judá, hasta que nadie osó levantar cabeza.) Y éstos han venido a espantarlos (a abatir los cuernos de las naciones que alzaron el cuerno contra la tierra de Judá para dispersarla)».
5 Again I raised my eyes and looked: there was a man with a measuring line in his hand.	5 Alcé los ojos y tuve una visión: Era un hombre con una cuerda de medir en la mano.
6 "Where are you going?" I asked. "To measure Jerusalem," he answered; "to see how great is its width and how great its length."	6 Le dije: «¿A dónde vas?» Me dijo: «A medir a Jerusalén, a ver cuánta es su anchura y cuánta su longitud».
7 Then the angel who spoke with me advanced, and another angel came out to meet him,	7 En esto, salió el ángel que hablaba conmigo, y otro ángel salió a su encuentro
8 and said to him, "Run, tell this to that young man: People will live in Jerusalem as though in open country, because of the multitude of men and beasts in her midst.	8 y le dijo: «Corre, habla a ese joven y dile: Como las ciudades abiertas será habitada Jerusalén, debido a la multitud de hombres y ganados que habrá dentro de ella.
9 But I will be for her an encircling wall of fire, says the LORD, and I will be the glory in her midst."	9 Y yo seré para ella - oráculo de Yahveh - muralla de fuego en torno, y dentro de ella seré gloria».
10 Up, up! Flee from the land of the north, says the LORD; for I scatter you to the four winds of heaven, says the LORD.	10 ¡Hala, hala, huid del país del Norte - oráculo de Yahveh, - ya que a los cuatro vientos del cielo os esparcí yo! - oráculo de Yahveh -
11 Up, escape to Zion! you who dwell in daughter Babylon.	11 ¡Hala, sálvate, Sión, tú que moras en Babilonia!
12 For thus said the LORD of hosts (after he had already sent me) concerning the nations that have plundered you: Whoever touches you touches the apple of my eye.	12 Pues así dice Yahveh Sebaot que tras la gloria me ha enviado a las naciones que os despojaron: «El que os toca a vosotros a la niña de mi ojo toca».
13 See, I wave my hand over them; they become plunder for their slaves. Thus you shall know that the LORD of hosts has sent me.	13 He aquí que yo alzo mi mano contra ellas, y serán despojo de sus mismos esclavos. Sabréis así que Yahveh Sebaot me ha enviado.
14 Sing and rejoice, O daughter Zion! See, I am coming to dwell among you, says the LORD.	14 Grita de gozo y regocíjate, hija de Sión, pues he aquí que yo vengo a morar dentro de ti, oráculo de Yahveh.
15 Many nations shall join themselves to the LORD on that day, and they shall be his people, and he will dwell among you, and you shall know that the LORD of hosts has sent me to you.	15 Muchas naciones se unirán a Yahveh aquel día: serán para mí un pueblo, y yo moraré en medio de ti. Sabrás así que Yahveh Sebaot me ha enviado a ti.
16 The LORD will possess Judah as his portion of the holy land, and he will again choose Jerusalem.	16 Poseerá Yahveh a Judá, porción suya en la Tierra Santa, y elegirá de nuevo a Jerusalén.
17 Silence, all mankind, in the presence of the LORD! for he stirs forth from his holy dwelling.	17 ¡Silencio, toda carne, delante de Yahveh, porque él se despierta de su santa Morada!
