1 LORD, avenging God, avenging God, shine forth!	1 Uram, bosszúállás Istene, bosszúállás Istene, jelenj meg!
2 Rise up, judge of the earth; give the proud what they deserve.	2 Kelj fel, ó föld bírája, fizess meg a kevélyeknek!
3 How long, LORD, shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked glory?	3 Meddig fognak, Uram, a bűnösök, meddig fognak még a bűnösök dicsekedni?
4 How long will they mouth haughty speeches, go on boasting, all these evildoers?	4 Fecsegnek, vakmerően gonoszságot beszélnek és kérkednek mind a gonosztevők.
5 They crush your people, LORD, torment your very own.	5 Népedet, Uram, elnyomják, örökségedet sanyargatják.
6 They kill the widow and alien; the fatherless they murder.	6 Meggyilkolják az özvegyet s a jövevényt, lemészárolják az árvákat.
7 They say, "The LORD does not see; the God of Jacob takes no notice."	7 Azt mondják: »Nem látja ezt az Úr, Nem veszi észre Jákob Istene.«
8 Understand, you stupid people! You fools, when will you be wise?	8 Eszméljetek, ti oktalanjai a népnek, ostobák mikor tértek észhez?
9 Does the one who shaped the ear not hear? The one who formed the eye not see?	9 A fül plántálója ne hallana, s a szem alkotója ne látna?
10 Does the one who guides nations not rebuke? The one who teaches humans not have knowledge?	10 Ne büntetne, aki dorgálja a népeket, aki tudományra tanítja az embert?
11 The LORD does know human plans; they are only puffs of air.	11 Ismeri az Úr az emberek gondolatait és tudja, hogy hiábavalók.
12 Happy those whom you guide, LORD, whom you teach by your instruction.	12 Boldog az az ember, akit te oktatsz, Uram, és megtanítasz törvényedre,
13 You give them rest from evil days, while a pit is being dug for the wicked.	13 hogy megóvd őt a gonosz napoktól, amíg a bűnös számára a verem el nem készül.
14 You, LORD, will not forsake your people, nor abandon your very own.	14 Mert nem taszítja el népét az Úr, és nem hagyja el örökségét.
15 Judgment shall again be just, and all the upright of heart will follow it.	15 Mert az ítélkezés visszatér az igazsághoz, és követik mind az igazszívűek.
16 Who will rise up for me against the wicked? Who will stand up for me against evildoers?	16 Ki kel fel értem a gonoszok ellen, ki áll mellém a gonosztevőkkel szemben?
17 If the LORD were not my help, I would long have been silent in the grave.	17 Ha az Úr nem nyújtott volna segítséget, már-már a némaság helyén lakoznék a lelkem.
18 When I say, "My foot is slipping," your love, LORD, holds me up.	18 Ha azt mondtam: »Inog a lábam«, megsegített a te irgalmad, Uram.
19 When cares increase within me, your comfort gives me joy.	19 Bármilyen sok fájdalmam volt szívemben, vigasztalásaid felvidítottak engem.
20 Can unjust judges be your allies, those who create burdens in the name of law,	20 Lehet-e köze hozzád a hamisság ítélőszékének, amely nyomorúságot szerez a törvény ellenére?
21 Those who conspire against the just and condemn the innocent to death?	21 Az igaz életére leskelődnek ők, s elítélik az ártatlan vért.
22 No, the LORD is my secure height, my God, the rock where I find refuge,	22 De nekem oltalmam lett az Úr, és menedékem sziklája az én Istenem;
23 Who will turn back their evil upon them and destroy them for their wickedness. Surely the LORD our God will destroy them!	23 Ő megtorolja rajtuk hamisságukat, saját gonoszságukkal semmisíti meg őket; Megsemmisíti őket az Úr, a mi Istenünk.
