1 "For burning incense you shall make an altar of acacia wood,	1 Farai un altare per far fumare l'incenso: lo farai in legno d'acacia.
2 with a square surface, a cubit long, a cubit wide, and two cubits high, with horns that spring directly from it.	2 Sarà lungo un cubito e largo un cubito: sarà quadrato, alto due cubiti, munito dei suoi corni.
3 Its grate on top, its walls on all four sides, and its horns you shall plate with pure gold. Put a gold molding around it.	3 Ricoprirai d'oro puro il suo ripiano superiore, i suoi lati intorno e i suoi corni: gli farai intorno una bordatura d'oro.
4 Underneath the molding you shall put gold rings, two on one side and two on the opposite side, as holders for the poles used in carrying it.	4 Gli farai due anelli d'oro sotto la bordatura, sui suoi due fianchi: li farai sulle sue due parti e serviranno per introdurvi le stanghe con le quali portarlo.
5 Make the poles, too, of acacia wood and plate them with gold.	5 Farai le stanghe in legno d'acacia e le ricoprirai d'oro.
6 This altar you are to place in front of the veil that hangs before the ark of the commandments where I will meet you.	6 Lo porrai davanti al velo che nasconde l'arca della testimonianza, davanti al propiziatorio che è sopra la testimonianza, dove ti incontro.
7 "On it Aaron shall burn fragrant incense. Morning after morning, when he prepares the lamps,	7 Sopra di esso Aronne farà fumare l'incenso profumato: lo farà fumare ogni mattina, quando metterà in ordine le lampade,
8 and again in the evening twilight, when he lights the lamps, he shall burn incense. Throughout your generations this shall be the established incense offering before the LORD.	8 e lo farà fumare tra le due sere, quando Aronne riempirà le lampade: incenso perenne davanti al Signore per le vostre generazioni.
9 On this altar you shall not offer up any profane incense, or any holocaust or cereal offering; nor shall you pour out a libation upon it.	9 Non vi offrirete incenso profano né olocausto od oblazione né vi verserete sopra una libazione.
10 Once a year Aaron shall perform the atonement rite on its horns. Throughout your generations this atonement is to be made once a year with the blood of the atoning sin offering. This altar is most sacred to the LORD."	10 Aronne farà l'espiazione sui suoi corni una volta all'anno: con il sangue del sacrificio per il peccato, nel Giorno dell'espiazione, una volta all'anno farà l'espiazione su di esso per le vostre generazioni. E' cosa santissima in onore del Signore".
11 The LORD also said to Moses,	11 Il Signore disse a Mosè:
12 "When you take a census of the Israelites who are to be registered, each one, as he is enrolled, shall give the LORD a forfeit for his life, so that no plague may come upon them for being registered.	12 "Quando farai la rassegna dei figli d'Israele per il censimento, ognuno pagherà il riscatto per la propria vita al Signore nell'atto del censimento, e non avranno flagelli, quando saranno passati in rassegna.
13 Everyone who enters the registered group must pay a half-shekel, according to the standard of the sanctuary shekel, twenty gerahs to the shekel. This payment of a half-shekel is a contribution to the LORD.	13 Chiunque sarà recensito pagherà un mezzo siclo, del siclo del santuario, venti ghera per siclo. Un mezzo siclo è prelievo per il Signore.
14 Everyone of twenty years or more who enters the registered group must give this contribution to the LORD.	14 Ogni recensito, da vent'anni in su, darà l'imposta per il Signore.
15 The rich need not give more, nor shall the poor give less, than a half-shekel in this contribution to the LORD to pay the forfeit for their lives.	15 Il ricco non darà di più né il povero di meno di mezzo siclo per soddisfare l'imposta del Signore, in espiazione delle vostre vite.
16 When you receive this forfeit money from the Israelites, you shall donate it to the service of the meeting tent, that there it may be the Israelites' reminder before the LORD, of the forfeit paid for their lives."	16 Prenderai il denaro dell'espiazione dai figli d'Israele e lo darai per il servizio della tenda del convegno: per i figli d'Israele sarà un memoriale davanti al Signore, per l'espiazione delle vostre vite".
17 The LORD said to Moses,	17 Il Signore disse a Mosè:
18 "For ablutions you shall make a bronze laver with a bronze base. Place it between the meeting tent and the altar, and put water in it.	18 "Farai una vasca di bronzo per lavarsi, con il suo supporto di bronzo, e la porrai tra la tenda del convegno e l'altare e ci metterai acqua.
19 Aaron and his sons shall use it in washing their hands and feet.	19 Aronne e i suoi figli si laveranno le mani e i piedi.
20 When they are about to enter the meeting tent, they must wash with water, lest they die. Likewise when they approach the altar in their ministry, to offer an oblation to the LORD,	20 Quando entreranno nella tenda del convegno si laveranno con l'acqua e non moriranno; e quando si avvicineranno all'altare per il servizio, per far fumare un sacrificio di fuoco in onore del Signore,
21 they must wash their hands and feet, lest they die. This shall be a perpetual ordinance for him and his descendants throughout their generations."	21 laveranno le loro mani e i loro piedi e non moriranno. Sarà per loro uno statuto perenne, per lui e per i suoi discendenti nelle loro generazioni".
22 The LORD said to Moses,	22 Il Signore disse a Mosè:
23 "Take the finest spices: five hundred shekels of free-flowing myrrh; half that amount, that is, two hundred and fifty shekels, of fragrant cinnamon; two hundred and fifty shekels of fragrant cane;	23 "Procùrati balsami di prima qualità: cinquecento sicli di mirra fluida; duecentocinquanta, e cioè la metà, di cinnamomo odoroso; duecentocinquanta di cannella odorosa;
24 five hundred shekels of cassia-all according to the standard of the sanctuary shekel; together with a hin of olive oil;	24 cinquecento sicli, del siclo del santuario, di cassia, e un hin di olio di oliva:
25 and blend them into sacred anointing oil, perfumed ointment expertly prepared.	25 ne farai olio d'unzione santa, un profumo eccezionale, opera di profumiere: sarà l'olio d'unzione santa.
26 With this sacred anointing oil you shall anoint the meeting tent and the ark of the commandments,	26 Ungerai con quello la tenda del convegno e l'arca della testimonianza,
27 the table and all its appurtenances, the lampstand and its appurtenances, the altar of incense	27 la tavola e tutti i suoi oggetti, il candelabro e i suoi oggetti, l'altare dell'incenso,
28 and the altar of holocausts with all its appurtenances, and the laver with its base.	28 l'altare dell'olocausto e tutti i suoi oggetti, la vasca e il suo supporto.
29 When you have consecrated them, they shall be most sacred; whatever touches them shall be sacred.	29 Li santificherai e saranno santissimi: chiunque li toccherà sarà santo.
30 Aaron and his sons you shall also anoint and consecrate as my priests.	30 Ungerai e consacrerai come sacerdoti Aronne e i suoi figli.
31 To the Israelites you shall say: As sacred anointing oil this shall belong to me throughout your generations.	31 Ai figli d'Israele dirai: "Questo sarà per me olio d'unzione santa per le vostre generazioni.
32 It may not be used in any ordinary anointing of the body, nor may you make any other oil of a like mixture. It is sacred, and shall be treated as sacred by you.	32 Non si verserà su carne umana e non ne farete della stessa composizione: è santo e santo sarà per voi.
33 Whoever prepares a perfume like this, or whoever puts any of this on a layman, shall be cut off from his kinsmen."	33 Chi farà un profumo simile e ne porrà su un estraneo sarà eliminato dal mio popolo".
34 The LORD told Moses, "Take these aromatic substances: storax and onycha and galbanum, these and pure frankincense in equal parts;	34 Il Signore disse a Mosè: "Procùrati dei balsami: storace, onice, galbano e incenso puro: saranno in parti eguali.
35 and blend them into incense. This fragrant powder, expertly prepared, is to be salted and so kept pure and sacred.	35 Ne farai incenso profumato, opera di profumiere, salato, puro e santo.
36 Grind some of it into fine dust and put this before the commandments in the meeting tent where I will meet you. This incense shall be treated as most sacred by you.	36 Lo pesterai in polvere e ne porrai davanti alla testimonianza, nella tenda del convegno, dove ti incontro: sarà per voi cosa santissima.
37 You may not make incense of a like mixture for yourselves; you must treat it as sacred to the LORD.	37 Dell'incenso che farai, non ne farete per voi della stessa composizione: sarà per te cosa sacra al Signore.
38 Whoever makes an incense like this for his own enjoyment of its fragrance, shall be cut off from his kinsmen."	38 Chiunque ne farà di simile per aspirarlo, sarà eliminato dal mio popolo".
