1 Al maestro di coro. Su "Idutun". Salmo. Di Davide.	1 To the choirmaster: according to Jeduthun. A Psalm of David. For God alone my soul waits in silence; from him comes my salvation.
2 Solo in Dio riposa l'anima mia, da lui proviene la mia salvezza.	2 He only is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be greatly moved.
3 Solo lui è mia rupe e mia salvezza; è mia rocca di difesa: non vacillerò giammai!	3 How long will you set upon a man to shatter him, all of you, like a leaning wall, a tottering fence?
4 Fino a quando vi accanite contro un uomo, per abbatterlo tutti insieme, quasi una parete inclinata, un muro pericolante?	4 They only plan to thrust him down from his eminence. They take pleasure in falsehood. They bless with their mouths, but inwardly they curse. [Selah]
5 In verità essi tramano di precipitarlo dall'alto; si compiacciono della menzogna: benedicendo con la bocca, maledicendo con il cuore.	5 For God alone my soul waits in silence, for my hope is from him.
6 Solo in Dio riposa l'anima mia, poiché da lui proviene la mia speranza.	6 He only is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be shaken.
7 Solo lui è mia rupe e mia salvezza, la mia rocca di difesa: non vacillerò mai.	7 On God rests my deliverance and my honor; my mighty rock, my refuge is God.
8 In Dio sta la mia salvezza e la mia gloria; la mia rocca di difesa e il mio rifugio sono in Dio.	8 Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us. [Selah]
9 Confidate in lui in ogni tempo, o voi che siete suo popolo, al suo cospetto effondete il vostro cuore. Dio è un rifugio per noi!	9 Men of low estate are but a breath, men of high estate are a delusion; in the balances they go up; they are together lighter than a breath.
10 Null'altro che un soffio sono i figli dell'uomo, null'altro che menzogna sono gli esseri mortali. Messi insieme sulla bilancia, sono più lievi di un soffio.	10 Put no confidence in extortion, set no vain hopes on robbery; if riches increase, set not your heart on them.
11 Nella violenza non confidate, e, quanto alla rapina, non fatevi illusioni. Neanche alle ricchezze, per quanto abbondanti, non attaccate il vostro cuore.	11 Once God has spoken; twice have I heard this: that power belongs to God;
12 Una cosa Dio ha detto, due cose ho udito da lui: che cioè a Dio appartiene il potere, e a te, Signore, la misericordia.	12 and that to thee, O Lord, belongs steadfast love. For thou dost requite a man according to his work.
13 Sì, tu ripaghi ciascuno secondo le sue opere.
