Osea 14

BIBBIA VOLGARE	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Perisca Samaria, però che commosse lo suo Iddio a ira; nel coltello perisca, e li suoi piccolini sieno percossi al muro, e le sue femine pregne siano sparte.	1 Samaria will pay the penalty for having rebel ed against her God. They wil fall by the sword, their littlechildren wil be dashed to pieces and their pregnant women disembowelled.
2 Israel, convèrtiti al tuo Signore Iddio; però che tu cadesti nella tua malvagitade.	2 Israel, come back to Yahweh your God your guilt was the cause of your downfal .
3 Tollete con voi le parole, e convertitevi a Dio, e dite a lui: togli da noi ogni malvagitade, e togli lo bene, e renderemo li vitelli delle nostre labbra, (cioè delle sante grazie e lode).	3 Provide yourself with words and come back to Yahweh. Say to him, 'Take all guilt away and give uswhat is good, instead of bulls we wil dedicate to you our lips.
4 Assur non salverà noi; noi non saliremo sopra li cavalli, e non diremo più: li dii nostri (che) sono l'opere delle nostre mani; però che colui ch' è in te averae misericordia del pupillo.	4 Assyria cannot save us, we will not ride horses any more, or say, "Our God!" to our own handiwork, foryou are the one in whom orphans find compassion.'
5 Io sanerò le loro percosse, e amerolli per propria volontà; però che lo mio furore è rivolto da loro.	5 I shal cure them of their disloyalty, I shal love them with all my heart, for my anger has turned awayfrom them.
6 E sarò come rugiada, e Israel metterà fuori li rampolli come lo giglio, e la sua radice abbonderà.	6 I shal fal like dew on Israel, he wil bloom like the lily and thrust out roots like the cedar of Lebanon;
7 E metterà fuori li suoi rami, (e li suoi rami saranno come quelli dello Libano), e la sua gloria sarà come l'ulivo, e lo suo odore come quello dello Libano.	7 he will put out new shoots, he will have the beauty of the olive tree and the fragrance of Lebanon.
8 Quelli che sederanno sotto la sua ombra si convertiranno; e viveranno di grano, e germineranno quasi come la vigna; la sua memoria sarà come lo vino del Libano, (ed Efraim sarà grande come uno arboro dello Libano).	8 They will come back to live in my shade; they will grow wheat again, they wil make the vine flourish, their wine will be as famous as Lebanon's.
9 Or per che volete più li idoli? io esaudirò e amerò lui (e io farò) come uno abete virente; e lo tuo frutto trovato è da me.	9 What has Ephraim to do with idols any more when I hear him and watch over him? I am like anevergreen cypress, you owe your fruitfulness to me.
10 Or chi sarà savio e intenderà queste cose? e chi è intelligente, che le sappia? però che le vie di Dio sono diritte, e li giusti anderanno per quelle; ma li prevaricatori (cioè li peccatori) sì ricadranno in quelle, (non volendo bene. Così dice lo Signore Iddio).	10 Let the wise understand these words, let the intel igent grasp their meaning, for Yahweh's ways arestraight and the upright wil walk in them, but sinners wil stumble.
