Isaia 6

BIBBIA VOLGARE	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Nell' anno il quale morì il re Ozia, io vidi sedere il Signore sopra una sedia grande e levata; (e la casa era piena della sua maestà), e quelle cose che erano sotto lui riempievano il tempio.	1 In the year of King Uzziah's death I saw the Lord seated on a high and lofty throne; his train fil ed thesanctuary.
2 Li Serafini stavano di sopra quello; ed erano sei ale ad uno, e sei all' altro; e con due ale velavano la sua faccia, e con due ale velavano i suoi piedi, e con due ali volavano.	2 Above him stood seraphs, each one with six wings: two to cover its face, two to cover its feet and two forflying;
3 E gridavano l'uno all' altro, e dicevano: santo, santo, santo, Signore Iddio degli eserciti, piena è ogni terra della sua gloria.	3 and they were shouting these words to each other: Holy, holy, holy is Yahweh Sabaoth. His glory fil s thewhole earth.
4 E alla voce di colui che gridava son commossi li sopra sogliari de' cardini, e la casa fu piena di fumo.	4 The door-posts shook at the sound of their shouting, and the Temple was ful of smoke.
5 E io dissi: guai a me! imperciò che io tacetti, imperciò che fui uomo il quale hae i labbri polluti, e abito nel mezzo del popolo che ha le labbra corrutte, e hoe veduto il re Signore delli eserciti colli miei occhi.	5 Then I said: 'Woe is me! I am lost, for I am a man of unclean lips and I live among a people of uncleanlips, and my eyes have seen the King, Yahweh Sabaoth.'
6 E voloe uno delli Serafini a me; e nella mano sua era una pietra picciola ritonda e durissima (e parea ignita di fuoco), la quale è detta calcolo, il quale [lo] Serafino avea tolto dell' altare colla forfece.	6 Then one of the seraphs flew to me, holding in its hand a live coal which it had taken from the altar witha pair of tongs.
7 E toccò la mia bocca, e sì mi disse: ecco io hoe toccate le tue labbra, e sarà tolta da te la tua iniquità, e sarae il tuo peccato mondato.	7 With this it touched my mouth and said: 'Look, this has touched your lips, your guilt has been removedand your sin forgiven.'
8 E udi' io la voce del Signore dicente: chi manderò? e chi girà per noi? E io dissi: ecco me (Signore), manda me.	8 I then heard the voice of the Lord saying: 'Whom shal I send? Who will go for us?' And I said, 'Here amI, send me.'
9 E disse: va, e dirai a questo popolo: audite voi che udite, e non vogliate intendere; e vedete la visione, e non vogliate conoscere.	9 He said: 'Go, and say to this people, "Listen and listen, but never understand! Look and look, but neverperceive!"
10 Acceca il cuore di questo popolo, e aggrava li suoi orecchi, e chiudi li suoi occhi, acciò che non veggia colli suoi occhi, e non oda colle sue orecchie, e non intenda col suo cuore, e convertasi, e poi lo liberi.	10 Make this people's heart coarse, make their ears dul , shut their eyes tight, or they wil use their eyes tosee, use their ears to hear, use their heart to understand, and change their ways and be healed.'
11 E io dissi: Signore, quanto tempo sarà questo? E disse il Signore: dinfino a tanto che le cittadi saranno desolate sanza abitatore, e le case sanza alcuno uomo, e la terra rimarrà deserta.	11 I then said, 'Until when, Lord?' He replied, 'Until towns are in ruins and deserted, houses untenantedand a great desolation reigns in the land,
12 E da lungi manderà gli uomini il Signore, e sarae multiplicata quella che istà derelitta in mezzo della terra.	12 and Yahweh has driven the people away and the country is total y abandoned.
13 E ancora è in lei la decimazione; e convertirassi e sarae nel conspetto di tutti come terebinto e quercia la quale li suoi rami spande; seme santo sarae quello che istarae in lei.	13 And suppose one-tenth of them are left in it, that wil be stripped again, like the terebinth, like the oak,cut back to the stock; their stock is a holy seed.'
