Isaia 1

BIBBIA VOLGARE	KING JAMES BIBLE
1 Questa è la visione, la quale vidde Isaia (profeta) figliuolo di Amos (profeta) sopra Giuda e sopra Ierusalem nel tempo di Ozia e di Ioatan e di Acaz e di Ezechia, che furono re di Giudea.	1 The vision of Isaiah the son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah.
2 Udite, cieli, e tu, terra, considera; però che Iddio ha parlato, e disse: io nutricai li figliuoli e levai in alto, e loro dispregiarono me.	2 Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth: for the LORD hath spoken, I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against me.
3 Lo bue conobbe colui che lo possedea, e l'asino conobbe la mangiatoia del suo signore; ma Israel non conobbe me, e lo mio popolo non mi intese.	3 The ox knoweth his owner, and the ass his master's crib: but Israel doth not know, my people doth not consider.
4 Guai alla gente peccatrice, al popolo grave di malvagitade, seme malvagio e figliuoli scellerati; loro abbandonarono il Signore, e biastemarono lo santo d' Israel; sono fatti stranieri, tornando a dietro.	4 Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the LORD, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward.
5 Sopra quale cosa (dice Iddio) percoterò io voi, che più giugnete la prevaricazione? ogni capo sì languisce, e ogni cuore sì duole.	5 Why should ye be stricken any more? ye will revolt more and more: the whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint.
6 Non è in lui sanitade dalla pianta del piede infino alla sommità del capo; e le ferite e li segni delle percosse e la piaga enfiata non è fasciata, e non è curata con medicina, (nè curata) nè toccata d'olio, (cioè come si curano le ferite con l' olio).	6 From the sole of the foot even unto the head there is no soundness in it; but wounds, and bruises, and putrifying sores: they have not been closed, neither bound up, neither mollified with ointment.
7 La vostra terra è deserta, e le vostre cittadi sono accese al fuoco; e li stranieri divorano la vostra regione (cioè contrada) dinanzi da voi, e sarà desolata come si fa nel guasto delli nimici.	7 Your country is desolate, your cities are burned with fire: your land, strangers devour it in your presence, and it is desolate, as overthrown by strangers.
8 E sarà abbandonata (e lasciata) la figliuola di Sion, come uno spaventacchio nella vigna, e come la guardia che sta nel cocomeraio, e come la città che si guasterà.	8 And the daughter of Zion is left as a cottage in a vineyard, as a lodge in a garden of cucumbers, as a besieged city.
9 Se lo Signore delli eserciti non ci avesse lasciato lo seme, saremmo stati come Sodoma, e quasi simili a Gomorra.	9 Except the LORD of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been like unto Gomorrah.
10 Udite la parola del Signore, o voi principi (di Giuda, simili alli prìncipi) di Sodoma; considerate con le orecchie vostre la legge del vostro Iddio, popolo (di Giuda, simile al popolo) di Gomorra.	10 Hear the word of the LORD, ye rulers of Sodom; give ear unto the law of our God, ye people of Gomorrah.
11 A che fine offerite voi a me la moltitudine de' vostri animali in sacrificio, (e la mia legge non osservate), dice lo Signore Iddio? io son pieno (e fastidito di tal oblazione); io non voglio li sacrificii de' montoni, e lo mangiare delle bestie grasse, e lo sangue de' vitelli e delli agnelli e de' becchi.	11 To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the LORD: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats.
12 Quando voi verrete inanzi al mio conspetto, chi fu che addomandasse queste cose delle vostre mani, acciò che voi andaste nelle mie case?	12 When ye come to appear before me, who hath required this at your hand, to tread my courts?
13 Non offerite più li sacrificii indarno; lo incenso è abominazione a me. Io non sofferroe più la festa del sabato, e l'altre feste; (la festa della nuova luna si chiama quella che loro faceano nel principio del mese, cioè nelle calende, la quale loro chiamano Neomenia); le vostre congregazioni sono inique.	13 Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting.
14 Le vostre calende e le vostre feste sono fatte a me moleste, e holle avute in odio; io con fatica v'ho sostenuti (aspettando che vi dobbiate convertire, e non ve ne curaste).	14 Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear them.
15 E quando averete disteso le vostre mani, iò rivolgerò li miei occhi da voi; e conciosia cosa che aviate multiplicate le orazioni, non vi esaudirò; però che le vostre mani sono piene di sangue.	15 And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.
16 Lavatevi, e siate netti; levate via lo male delle cogitazioni vostre dinanzi alli miei occhi; rimanetevi di fare le perversitadi.	16 Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil;
17 E apparate a ben fare, e addimandate il giudicio, e sovvenite all' oppresso; fate lo giudicio per lo pupillo, e difendete la vedova.	17 Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.
18 E venite, e raddomandate me, dice lo Signore; (quasi dica: riprendetemi, se io non vi merito questo bene); se li vostri peccati saranno infiammati come fuoco, li farò bianchi come nevè, (cioè, ch' io li perdonerò a voi); e se saranno rossi come lo vermicolo, io li farò come lana bianca. (Lo vermicolo si è quello di che si fa la porpora).	18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
19 Se voi vorrete, e udirete me, voi mangerete li beni della terra.	19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:
20 E se voi non vorrete, e provocheretemi pure ad ira, lo mio coltello divorerà voi; però che la bocca di Dio hae parlato.	20 But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.
21 Or come è fatta meretrice la città fedele, piena di giudicio? la giustizia abitò in lei, e ora ivi àbitano li omicidiali.	21 How is the faithful city become an harlot! it was full of judgment; righteousness lodged in it; but now murderers.
22 Lo tuo argento si è rivolto in feccia; e lo tuo vino si è mescolato con acqua.	22 Thy silver is become dross, thy wine mixed with water:
23 Li tuoi principi sono infedeli e compagni de' ladroni; tutti amano li doni, e sèguitano le retribuzioni; non fanno giudicio per lo pupillo, (e piato) e ragione di vedova non entra inanzi a loro.	23 Thy princes are rebellious, and companions of thieves: every one loveth gifts, and followeth after rewards: they judge not the fatherless, neither doth the cause of the widow come unto them.
24 Però disse lo Signore dello esercito, Iddio forte d'Israel: ohimè, io consolerò me sopra li nimici miei, vendicherommi delli miei nemici.	24 Therefore saith the Lord, the LORD of hosts, the mighty One of Israel, Ah, I will ease me of mine adversaries, and avenge me of mine enemies:
25 E convertirò la mia mano a te, e purgherò io tuo (puro) argento della feccia, e torrò a te tutto lo tuo stagno.	25 And I will turn my hand upon thee, and purely purge away thy dross, and take away all thy tin:
26 E restituirò (cioè farò tutti) li tuoi giudici come prima, li tuoi consiglieri come erano anticamente; e dopo queste cose sarai chiamata città del giusto e terra fedele.	26 And I will restore thy judges as at the first, and thy counsellers as at the beginning: afterward thou shalt be called, The city of righteousness, the faithful city.
27 Sion sarà ricomperata nel giudicio, e riduceremo la giustizia.	27 Zion shall be redeemed with judgment, and her converts with righteousness.
28 E spezzerà li scellerati e peccatori insieme; e quelli abbandonarono Iddio, saranno consumati.	28 And the destruction of the transgressors and of the sinners shall be together, and they that forsake the LORD shall be consumed.
29 E saranno confusi (li peccatori insieme) per l'idoli alli quali sacrificarono; e avrete vergogna sopra li orti, li quali voi avevate eletti (a voi),	29 For they shall be ashamed of the oaks which ye have desired, and ye shall be confounded for the gardens that ye have chosen.
30 quando voi sarete come quercia alla quale fuggono le foglie, e come orto sanza acqua.	30 For ye shall be as an oak whose leaf fadeth, and as a garden that hath no water.
31 E la vostra fortezza sarà arsa, come la favilla che si spegne incontenente; e ciascuna cosa sarà accesa insieme, e non sarà chi la spenga.	31 And the strong shall be as tow, and the maker of it as a spark, and they shall both burn together, and none shall quench them.
