Philippians 2

1 Therefore, if there is any consolation in Christ, any solace of charity, any fellowship of the Spirit, any feelings of commiseration:	1 Si la exhortación en nombre de Cristo tiene algún valor, si algo vale el consuelo que brota del amor o la comunión en el Espíritu, o la ternura y la compasión,
2 complete my joy by having the same understanding, holding to the same charity, being of one mind, with the same sentiment.	2 les ruego que hagan perfecta mi alegría, permaneciendo buen unidos. Tengan un mismo amor, un mismo corazón, un mismo pensamiento.
3 Let nothing be done by contention, nor in vain glory. Instead, in humility, let each of you esteem others to be better than himself.	3 No hagan nada por espíritu de discordia o de vanidad, y que la humildad los lleve a estimar a los otros como superiores a ustedes mismos.
4 Let each of you not consider anything to be your own, but rather to belong to others.	4 Que cada uno busque no solamente su propio interés, sino también el de los demás.
5 For this understanding in you was also in Christ Jesus:	5 Tengan los mismos sentimientos de Cristo Jesús.
6 who, though he was in the form of God, did not consider equality with God something to be seized.	6 El, que era de condición divina, no consideró esta igualdad con Dios como algo que debía guardar celosamente:
7 Instead, he emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men, and accepting the state of a man.	7 al contrario, se anonadó a sí mismo, tomando la condición de servidor y haciéndose semejante a los hombres. Y presentándose con aspecto humano,
8 He humbled himself, becoming obedient even unto death, even the death of the Cross.	8 se humilló hasta aceptar por obediencia la muerte y muerte de cruz.
9 Because of this, God has also exalted him and has given him a name which is above every name,	9 Por eso, Dios lo exaltó y le dio el Nombre que está sobre todo nombre,
10 so that, at the name of Jesus, every knee would bend, of those in heaven, of those on earth, and of those in hell,	10 para que al nombre de Jesús, se doble toda rodilla en el cielo, en la tierra y en los abismos,
11 and so that every tongue would confess that the Lord Jesus Christ is in the glory of God the Father.	11 y toda lengua proclame para gloria de Dios Padre: «Jesucristo es el Señor».
12 And so, my most beloved, just as you have always obeyed, not only in my presence, but even more so now in my absence: work toward your salvation with fear and trembling.	12 Por eso, queridos míos, ustedes que siempre me han obedecido, trabajen por su salvación con temor y temblor, no solamente cuando estoy entre ustedes, sino mucho más ahora que estoy ausente.
13 For it is God who works in you, both so as to choose, and so as to act, in accord with his good will.	13 Porque Dios es el que produce en ustedes el querer y el hacer, conforme a su designio de amor.
14 And do everything without murmuring or hesitation.	14 Procedan en todo sin murmuraciones ni discusiones:
15 So may you be without blame, simple sons of God, without reproof, in the midst of a depraved and perverse nation, among whom you shine like lights in the world,	15 así serán irreprochables y puros, hijos de Dios sin mancha, en medio de una generación extraviada y pervertida, dentro de la cual ustedes brillan como haces de luz en el mundo,
16 holding to the Word of Life, until my glory in the day of Christ. For I have not run in vain, nor have I labored in vain.	16 mostrándole la Palabra de Vida. De esa manera, el Día de Cristo yo podré gloriarme de no haber trabajado ni sufrido en vano.
17 Moreover, if I am to be immolated because of the sacrifice and service of your faith, I rejoice and give thanks with all of you.	17 Y aunque mi sangre debiera derramarse como libación sobre el sacrificio y la ofrenda sagrada, que es la fe de ustedes, yo me siento dichoso y comparto su alegría;
18 And over this same thing, you also should rejoice and give thanks, together with me.	18 También ustedes siéntanse dichosos y alégrense conmigo.
19 Now I hope in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy to you soon, in order that I may be encouraged, when I know the things concerning you.	19 Espero, con la ayuda del Señor Jesús, enviarles muy pronto a Timoteo para tener noticias de ustedes y experimentar yo mismo un alivio.
20 For I have no one else with such an agreeable mind, who, with sincere affection, is solicitous for you.	20 Porque no encuentro a otro, que tome tan a pecho como él los asuntos de ustedes.
21 For they all seek the things that are of themselves, not the things that are of Jesus Christ.	21 Todos los demás buscan sus propios intereses y no los de Cristo Jesús.
22 So know this evidence of him: that like a son with a father, so has he served with me in the Gospel.	22 Ya saben que él ha dado pruebas de su virtud, porque sirvió conmigo a la causa del Evangelio, como un hijo junto a su padre.
23 Therefore, I hope to send him to you immediately, as soon as I see what will happen concerning me.	23 Por eso espero enviarlo, apenas se aclare mi situación.
24 But I trust in the Lord that I myself will also return to you soon.	24 Por otra parte, tengo confianza en el Señor de que pronto podré ir personalmente.
25 Now I have considered it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother, and co-worker, and fellow soldier, and an attendant to my needs, but your Apostle.	25 He creído que era necesario enviarles de nuevo a Epafrodito, mi hermano, colaborador y compañero de lucha, a quien ustedes enviaron para que me asistiera en mis necesidades.
26 For certainly, he has desired all of you, and he was saddened because you had heard that he was sick.	26 El tenía un gran deseo de volver a verlos a todos, y estaba muy preocupado porque ustedes se habían enterado de su enfermedad.
27 For he was sick, even unto death, but God took pity on him, and not only on him, but truly on myself also, so that I would not have sorrow upon sorrow.	27 En efecto, estuvo enfermo y a punto de morir, pero Dios se compadeció de él, y no sólo de él, sino también de mí, para que yo no tuviera otro dolor, además de los que ya tengo.
28 Therefore, I sent him more readily, in order that, by seeing him again, you may rejoice, and I may be without sorrow.	28 Ahora me apresuro a enviárselo, a fin de que su presencia los llene de gozo, y yo, por mi parte, quede menos triste.
29 And so, receive him with every joy in the Lord, and treat all those like him with honor.	29 Recíbanlo en el Señor, con mucha alegría, y tengan en gran estima a personas como él.
30 For he was brought close even to death, for the sake of the work of Christ, handing over his own life, so that he might fulfill what was lacking from you concerning my service.	30 Porque él estuvo al borde de la muerte por la obra de Cristo, exponiendo su vida para suplirlos a ustedes en el servicio que no podían prestarme directamente.
