2 My heart has uttered a good word. I speak of my works to the king. My tongue is like the pen of a scribe who writes quickly.	2 Oh Dios, nuestros oídos lo oyeron, | nuestros padres nos lo han contado: | la obra que realizaste en sus días, | en los años remotos.
3 You are a brilliant form before the sons of men. Grace has been poured freely into your lips. Because of this, God has blessed you in eternity.	3 Tú mismo con tu mano desposeíste a los gentiles, | y los plantaste a ellos; | trituraste a las naciones, | y los hiciste crecer a ellos.
4 Fasten your sword to your thigh, O most powerful one.	4 Porque no fue su espada la que ocupó la tierra, | ni su brazo el que les dio la victoria, | sino tu diestra y tu brazo y la luz de tu rostro, | porque tú los amabas.
5 With your splendor and your excellence extended, proceed prosperously, and reign for the sake of truth and meekness and justice, and so will your right hand lead you wondrously.	5 Mi rey y mi Dios eres tú, | que das la victoria a Jacob:
6 Your arrows are sharp; the people will fall under you, with the hearts of the enemies of the king.	6 con tu auxilio embestimos al enemigo, | en tu nombre pisoteamos al agresor.
7 Your throne, O God, is forever and ever. The scepter of your kingdom is a scepter of true aim.	7 Pues yo no confío en mi arco, | ni mi espada me da la victoria;
8 You have loved justice and hated iniquity. Because of this, God, your God, has anointed you, before your co-heirs, with the oil of gladness.	8 tú nos das la victoria sobre el enemigo | y derrotas a nuestros adversarios.
9 Myrrh and balsam and cinnamon perfume your garments, from the houses of ivory. From these, they have delighted you:	9 Dios ha sido siempre nuestro orgullo, | y siempre damos gracias a tu nombre. (Pausa)
10 the daughters of kings in your honor. The queen assisted at your right hand, in clothing of gold, encircled with diversity.	10 Ahora, en cambio, nos rechazas y nos avergüenzas, | y ya no sales, Señor, con nuestras tropas:
11 Listen, daughter, and see, and incline your ear. And forget your people and your father’s house.	11 nos haces retroceder ante el enemigo, | y nuestro adversario nos saquea.
12 And the king will desire your beauty. For he is the Lord your God, and they will adore him.	12 Nos entregas como ovejas de matanza | y nos has dispersado por las naciones.
13 And the daughters of Tyre will entreat your countenance with gifts: all the rich men of the people.	13 Vendes a tu pueblo por nada | y no te enriqueces con su precio.
14 All the glory of the daughter of its king is inside, in golden fringes,	14 Nos haces el escarnio de nuestros vecinos, | irrisión y burla de los que nos rodean;
15 clothed all around with diversities. After her, virgins will be led to the king. Her neighbors will be brought to you.	15 nos has hecho el refrán de los gentiles, | nos hacen muecas las naciones.
16 They will be brought with gladness and exultation. They will be led into the temple of the king.	16 Tengo siempre delante mi deshonra, | y la vergüenza me cubre la cara
17 For your fathers, sons have been born to you. You will establish them as leaders over all the earth.	17 al oír insultos e injurias, | al ver a mi rival y a mi enemigo.
18 They will remember your name always, for generation after generation. Because of this, people will confess to you in eternity, even forever and ever.	18 Todo esto nos viene encima, sin haberte olvidado | ni haber violado tu alianza,
	19 sin que se volviera atrás nuestro corazón | ni se desviaran de tu camino nuestros pasos.
	20 Y tú nos arrojaste a un lugar de chacales | y nos cubriste de tinieblas.
	21 Si hubiéramos olvidado el nombre de nuestro Dios | y extendido las manos a un dios extraño,
	22 el Señor lo habría averiguado, | pues él penetra los secretos del corazón.
	23 Por tu causa nos degüellan cada día, | nos tratan como a ovejas de matanza.
	24 Despierta, Señor, ¿por qué duermes? | Levántate, no nos rechaces más.
	25 ¿Por qué nos escondes tu rostro | y olvidas nuestra desgracia y opresión?
	26 Nuestra alma se hunde en el polvo, | nuestro vientre está pegado al suelo.
	27 Levántate a socorrernos, | redímenos por tu misericordia.
