1 Samaria will pay the penalty for having rebel ed against her God. They wil fall by the sword, their littlechildren wil be dashed to pieces and their pregnant women disembowelled.	1 Samaria odpokutuje za bunt przeciw Bogu swojemu: poginą od miecza, dzieci ich będą zmiażdżone, a niewiasty ciężarne rozprute.
2 Israel, come back to Yahweh your God your guilt was the cause of your downfal .	2 Wróć, Izraelu, do Pana Boga twojego, upadłeś bowiem przez własną twą winę.
3 Provide yourself with words and come back to Yahweh. Say to him, 'Take all guilt away and give uswhat is good, instead of bulls we wil dedicate to you our lips.	3 Zabierzcie ze sobą słowa i nawróćcie się do Pana! Mówcie do Niego: Przebacz nam całą naszą winę, w ten sposób otrzymamy dobro za owoc naszych warg.
4 Assyria cannot save us, we will not ride horses any more, or say, "Our God!" to our own handiwork, foryou are the one in whom orphans find compassion.'	4 Asyria nie może nas zbawić - nie chcemy już wsiadać na konie ani też mówić "nasz Boże" do dzieła rąk naszych. U Ciebie bowiem znajdzie litość sierota.
5 I shal cure them of their disloyalty, I shal love them with all my heart, for my anger has turned awayfrom them.	5 Uleczę ich niewierność i umiłuję ich z serca, bo gniew mój odwrócił się od nich.
6 I shal fal like dew on Israel, he wil bloom like the lily and thrust out roots like the cedar of Lebanon;	6 Stanę się jakby rosą dla Izraela, tak że rozkwitnie jak lilia i jak topola rozpuści korzenie.
7 he will put out new shoots, he will have the beauty of the olive tree and the fragrance of Lebanon.	7 Rozwiną się jego latorośle, będzie wspaniały jak drzewo oliwne, woń jego będzie jak woń Libanu.
8 They will come back to live in my shade; they will grow wheat again, they wil make the vine flourish, their wine will be as famous as Lebanon's.	8 I wrócą znowu, by usiąść w mym cieniu, i zboża uprawiać będą, winnice sadzić, których sława będzie tak wielka, jak wina libańskiego.
9 What has Ephraim to do with idols any more when I hear him and watch over him? I am like anevergreen cypress, you owe your fruitfulness to me.	9 Co ma jeszcze Efraim wspólnego z bożkami? Ja go wysłuchuję i Ja nań spoglądam, Ja jestem jak cyprys zielony i Mnie zawdzięcza swój owoc.
10 Let the wise understand these words, let the intel igent grasp their meaning, for Yahweh's ways arestraight and the upright wil walk in them, but sinners wil stumble.	10 Któż jest tak mądry, aby to pojął, i tak rozumny, aby to rozważył? Bo drogi Pańskie są proste: kroczą nimi sprawiedliwi, lecz potykają się na nich grzesznicy.
