Isaiah 18

NEW JERUSALEM	Pattloch Bibel
1 Disaster! Land of the whirring locust beyond the rivers of Cush,	1 Wehe dem Land der geflügelten Heuschrecke, jenseits der Ströme von Kusch!
2 who send ambassadors by sea, in little reed-boats across the waters! Go, swift messengers to a nationtal and bronzed, to a people feared far and near, a mighty and masterful nation whose country is criss-crossedwith rivers.	2 Boten entsandte es auf dem Nil, in Rohrkähnen über das Wasser. Eilet, ihr flinken Boten, zum hochgereckten und blanken Volk, zur Nation, die man fürchtet weit und breit, zum starken und siegreichen Volk, dessen Land Ströme durchschneiden.
3 Al you who inhabit the world, you who people the earth, when the signal is hoisted on the mountains,you wil see, when the ram's-horn is sounded, you wil hear.	3 All ihr Weltenbewohner und Erdenbürger! Erhebt man auf Bergen ein Panier, dann schaut auf, wenn man ins Horn stößt, dann horchet!
4 For this is what Yahweh has told me, 'I shall sit here quietly looking down, like the burning heat in thedaytime, like a dewy mist in the heat of harvest.'	4 Denn so sprach zu mir der Herr: "In Ruhe schaue ich zu an meiner Stätte wie flimmernde Hitze beim Sonnenschein, wie Taugewölk in der Erntezeit!"
5 For, before the harvest, once the flowering is over and blossom turns into ripening grape, the brancheswil be cut off with pruning knives, and the shoots taken off, cut away.	5 Erst vor der Ernte, wenn die Blüte vorbei ist, der Fruchtstand zur reifenden Traube wird, dann schneidet er mit den Winzermessern die Ranken ab, entfernt die Wassertriebe, zwickt sie ab.
6 Al has been abandoned to the mountain birds of prey and the wild animals: the birds of prey wilsummer on them, and al the wild animals winter on them.	6 Den Raubvögeln der Berge gibt man sie insgesamt preis und den Tieren des Landes, so daß die Raubvögel darauf übersommern und alle möglichen Landtiere darauf überwintern.
7 Then, an offering will be brought to Yahweh Sabaoth on behalf of a people tal and bronzed, on behalfof a people feared far and near, on behalf of a mighty and masterful nation whose country is criss-crossed withrivers: to the place where the name of Yahweh Sabaoth resides, Mount Zion.	7 Zu jener Zeit bringt man dem Herrn der Heerscharen Geschenke dar von dem hochgereckten und blanken Volk, vom Volk, das man fürchtet weit und breit, von der starken und siegreichen Nation, deren Land Ströme durchschneiden, zur Stätte, da der Name des Herrn der Heerscharen wohnt, zum Berge Sion.
