Exodus 31

1 Yahweh then spoke to Moses and said,	1 Locutusque est Dominus ad Moysen, dicens :
2 'Look, I have singled out Bezalel son of Uri, son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah,	2 Ecce, vocavi ex nomine Beseleel filium Uri filii Hur de tribu Juda,
3 and have filled him with the spirit of God in wisdom, knowledge and skil in every kind of craft:	3 et implevi spiritu Dei, sapientia, et intelligentia et scientia in omni opere,
4 in designing and carrying out work in gold and silver and bronze,	4 ad excogitandum quidquid fabrefieri potest ex auro, et argento, et ære,
5 in cutting stones to be set, in wood carving and in executing every kind of work.	5 marmore, et gemmis, et diversitate lignorum.
6 And to help him I have given him Oholiab son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, and have endowedthe hearts of al the skilled men with the skil to make everything I have ordered you:	6 Dedique ei socium Ooliab filium Achisamech de tribu Dan. Et in corde omnis eruditi posui sapientiam : ut faciant cuncta quæ præcepi tibi,
7 the Tent of Meeting; the ark of the Testimony; the mercy-seat above it; and all the furniture of the tent;	7 tabernaculum f?deris, et arcam testimonii, et propitiatorium, quod super eam est, et cuncta vasa tabernaculi,
8 the table and al its accessories; the pure lamp-stand and al its equipment; the altar of incense;	8 mensamque et vasa ejus, candelabrum purissimum cum vasis suis, et altaris thymiamatis,
9 the altar of burnt offerings and al its accessories; the basin and its stand;	9 et holocausti, et omnia vasa eorum, labrum cum basi sua,
10 the liturgical vestments, the sacred vestments for Aaron the priest, and the vestments for his sons,for their priestly functions;	10 vestes sanctas in ministerio Aaron sacerdoti, et filiis ejus, ut fungantur officio suo in sacris :
11 the anointing oil and the fragrant incense for the sanctuary. They wil do everything as I have orderedyou.'	11 oleum unctionis, et thymiama aromatum in sanctuario, omnia quæ præcepi tibi, facient.
12 Yahweh then said to Moses,	12 Et locutus est Dominus ad Moysen, dicens :
13 'Speak to the Israelites and say, "You wil keep my Sabbaths properly, for this is a sign betweenmyself and you for all your generations to come, so that you will know that it is I, Yahweh, who sanctify you.	13 Loquere filiis Israël, et dices ad eos : Videte ut sabbatum meum custodiatis : quia signum est inter me et vos in generationibus vestris : ut sciatis quia ego Dominus, qui sanctifico vos.
14 You wil keep the Sabbath, then; you wil regard it as holy. Anyone who profanes it wil be put todeath; anyone who does any work on that day wil be outlawed from his people.	14 Custodite sabbatum meum, sanctum est enim vobis : qui polluerit illud, morte morietur ; qui fecerit in eo opus, peribit anima illius de medio populi sui.
15 Work must be done for six days, but the seventh day wil be a day of complete rest, consecrated toYahweh. Anyone who works on the Sabbath day wil be put to death.	15 Sex diebus facietis opus : in die septimo sabbatum est, requies sancta Domino ; omnis qui fecerit opus in hac die, morietur.
16 The Israelites wil keep the Sabbath, observing the Sabbath for all their generations to come: this isan eternal covenant.	16 Custodiant filii Israël sabbatum, et celebrent illud in generationibus suis. Pactum est sempiternum
17 Between myself and the Israelites, this is a sign for ever, for in six days Yahweh made heaven andearth, but on the seventh day he rested and drew breath."	17 inter me et filios Israël, signumque perpetuum ; sex enim diebus fecit Dominus cælum et terram, et in septimo ab opere cessavit.
18 When he had finished speaking to Moses on Mount Sinai, he gave him the two tablets of theTestimony, tablets of stone inscribed by the finger of God.	18 Deditque Dominus Moysi, completis hujuscemodi sermonibus in monte Sinai, duas tabulas testimonii lapideas, scriptas digito Dei.
