Isaiah (ישעיה) - Isaia 132

1 שיר המעלות זכור יהוה לדוד את כל ענותו	1 [Song of Ascents] Yahweh, remember David and al the hardships he endured,
2 אשר נשבע ליהוה נדר לאביר יעקב	2 the oath he swore to Yahweh, his vow to the Mighty One of Jacob:
3 אם אבא באהל ביתי אם אעלה על ערש יצועי	3 'I wil not enter tent or house, wil not climb into bed,
4 אם אתן שנת לעיני לעפעפי תנומה	4 will not al ow myself to sleep, not even to close my eyes,
5 עד אמצא מקום ליהוה משכנות לאביר יעקב	5 til I have found a place for Yahweh, a dwel ing for the Mighty One of Jacob!'
6 הנה שמענוה באפרתה מצאנוה בשדי יער	6 Listen, we heard of it in Ephrathah, we found it at Forest-Fields.
7 נבואה למשכנותיו נשתחוה להדם רגליו	7 Let us go into his dwel ing-place, and worship at his footstool.
8 קומה יהוה למנוחתך אתה וארון עזך	8 Go up, Yahweh, to your resting-place, you and the ark of your strength.
9 כהניך ילבשו צדק וחסידיך ירננו	9 Your priests are robed in saving justice, your faithful are shouting for joy.
10 בעבור דוד עבדך אל תשב פני משיחך	10 For the sake of your servant David, do not reject your anointed.
11 נשבע יהוה לדוד אמת לא ישוב ממנה מפרי בטנך אשית לכסא לך	11 Yahweh has sworn to David, and wil always remain true to his word, 'I promise that I wil set a sonof yours upon your throne.
12 אם ישמרו בניך בריתי ועדתי זו אלמדם גם בניהם עדי עד ישבו לכסא לך	12 If your sons observe my covenant and the instructions I have taught them, their sons too forevermore wil occupy your throne.'
13 כי בחר יהוה בציון אוה למושב לו	13 For Yahweh has chosen Zion, he has desired it as a home.
14 זאת מנוחתי עדי עד פה אשב כי אותיה	14 'Here shal I rest for evermore, here shal I make my home as I have wished.
15 צידה ברך אברך אביוניה אשביע לחם	15 'I shal generously bless her produce, give her needy their fil of food,
16 וכהניה אלביש ישע וחסידיה רנן ירננו	16 I shal clothe her priests with salvation, and her faithful wil sing aloud for joy.
17 שם אצמיח קרן לדוד ערכתי נר למשיחי	17 'There I shal raise up a line of descendants for David, light a lamp for my anointed;
18 אויביו אלביש בשת ועליו יציץ נזרו	18 I shal clothe his enemies with shame, while his own crown shall flourish.'
