1 E il Signore parlò a Mosè e ad Aronne, e disse:	1 And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying:
2 Fa' il novero de' figliuoli di Caath separatamente dagli altri Leviti secondo le loro case,e famiglie.	2 “Take a total of the sons of Kohath from the midst of the Levites, by their houses and families,
3 Dal trentesimo anno in poi fino al cinquantesimo, conta tutti quelli che entrano distazione, e servono nel tabernacolo dell'alleanza.	3 from thirty years and above, even to the fiftieth year, of all who enter so as to stand and minister in the tabernacle of the covenant.
4 Questo è l'ufficio de' figliuoli di Caath. Nel tabernacolo dell'alleanza, e nel Sanctasanctorum	4 This is the service of the sons of Kohath: the tabernacle of the covenant and the Holy of holies.
5 Entrerà Aronne, e i figliuoli di lui, allorché debbonsi muovere gli alloggiamenti, ecaleranno il velo, che pende dinanzi alla porta, e in esso involgeranno l'arca deltestamento,	5 Aaron and his sons shall enter, when the camp is going to move, and they shall take down the veil, which hangs before the entrance, and they shall wrap the ark of the testimony in it,
6 E la copriranno di più col velo di pelli di color violetto, e stenderanno al di sopra lacoperta di color di giacinto, e accomoderanno le stanghe.	6 and they shall cover it further with a veil of violet skins, and they shall extend over it a cloth made entirely of hyacinth, and they shall draw in the bars.
7 Parimente la mensa della proposizione la involgeranno in coperta di giacinto, e con essametteranno i turiboli, e i mortai, e i bicchieri, e i nappi per le libagioni: sopra la mensavi saranno sempre i pani:	7 Likewise, they shall wrap the table of the presence in a cloth of hyacinth, and they shall place with it the censers and little mortars, the cups and bowls for pouring out libations; the bread shall be always on it.
8 E vi stenderanno sopra il velo di scarlatto, il quale sarà ancor coperto colla tenda dipelli violette, e vi accomoderanno le stanghe.	8 And they shall extend over it a cloth of scarlet, which they shall further cover with a veil of violet skins, and they shall draw in the bars.
9 Prenderanno anche una coperta di giacinto, colla quale involgeranno il candelabro collelucerne, e le sue forbici, e le smoccolatoie, e con tutti i vasi dell'olio, e quel che servead aggiustar le lucerne:	9 They shall take also a cloth of hyacinth, with which they shall cover the lampstand with the lamps, and its tongs, and the candle snuffers, and all the vessels of oil, which are necessary for the preparation of the lamps.
10 E sopra tutte queste cose metteranno una coperta di pelli violette, e vi accomoderanno lestanghe.	10 And over all this they shall place a covering of violet skins, and they shall draw in the bars.
11 Similmente l'altare d'oro lo involgeranno in una coperta di giacinto, e vi stenderanno sopraun velo di pelli violette, e vi accomoderanno le stanghe.	11 And certainly they shall wrap the golden altar in a hyacinth garment, and they shall extend over it a covering of violet skins, and they shall draw in the bars.
12 Tutti i vasi che servono al santuario, li copriranno con una tenda di iacinto, e stenderannosopra un velo di pelli violette, e vi accomoderanno le stanghe.	12 All the vessels with which they minister in the Sanctuary they shall wrap in a cloth of hyacinth, and they shall extend over it a covering of violet skins, and they shall draw in the bars.
13 L'altare eziandio degli olocausti ripulito dalle ceneri lo involgeranno in una coperta diporpora,	13 Moreover, they shall cleanse the altar of ashes, and they shall wrap it in a purple garment,
14 Posti sopra di essi tutti gli arnesi, che servono per esso; vale a dire i bracieri, iforconi, i tridenti, gli uncini, le padelle, gli arnesi dell'altare li copriranno tuttiinsieme col velo di pelli violette, e porranno (ogni cosa) sopra le stanghe.	14 and they shall place it with all the vessels which they use in its ministry, that is, receptacles for fire, small hooks as well as forks, larger hooks and shovels. They shall cover all the vessels of the altar together with a veil of violet skins, and they shall draw in the bars.
15 E quando Aronne, e i figliuoli di lui avranno involto tutte le parti del santuario, e tuttii suoi vasi nel muoversi il campo, allora verranno i figliuoli di Caath a prenderegl'involti: e non toccheranno i vasi del santuario, altrimenti sarebbero messi a morte.Questa è incumbenza dei figliuoli di Caath nel tabernacolo dell'alleanza:	15 And when Aaron and his sons have wrapped the Sanctuary and its vessels at the dismantling of the camp, then the sons of Kohath shall enter, so as to carry what has been wrapped. And they shall not touch the vessels of the Sanctuary, lest they die. These are the burdens of the sons of Kohath concerning the tabernacle of the covenant.
16 Il loro capo sarà Eleazaro, figliuolo di Aronne sommo sacerdote, e a lui si apparterràl'aver cura dell'olio per preparare le lucerne, e dei profumi di composizione, e delsacrifizio perpetuo, e dell'olio di unzione, e di tutto quello che riguarda il culto deltabernacolo, e di tutti i vasi, che sono nel santuario.	16 Over them shall be Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, to whom belongs the care of the oil to prepare the lamps, and the incense compound, and the sacrifice, which is offered continually, and the oil of unction, and whatever pertains to the service of the tabernacle, and all the vessels that are in the Sanctuary.”
17 E il Signore parlò a Mosè ed Aronne, e disse:	17 And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying:
18 Badate, che la stirpe di Caath non abbia ad essere sterminata di mezzo a' Leviti:	18 “Do not be willing to lose the people of Kohath from the midst of the Levites.
19 Ma affinché eglino non periscano, ove vengano a toccare le cose sante, fate così: Aronne, ei suoi figliuoli entrino (nel santuario), ed ei preparino a ciascheduno il loro incarico, espartiscano quello che gli altri debbono portare.	19 But do this for them, so that they may live, and so that they may not die by touching the Holies of holies. Aaron and his sons shall enter, and they shall assign the work of each one, and they shall determine what each one ought to carry.
20 Gli altri non si lascin portare dalla curiosità a mirare le cose, che sono nel santuario,prima che sieno involte, altrimenti periranno.	20 Let no others, out of curiosity, see the things that are in the Sanctuary before they are wrapped, otherwise they shall die.”
21 E il Signore parlò a Mosè, e disse:	21 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
22 Conta anche il numero dei figliuoli di Gerson secondo la loro genealogia, e famiglia, e casa	22 “Now also take a total of the sons of Gershon, by their houses and families and kinships,
23 Dai trent'anni in poi fino a' cinquanta. Conta tutti quelli che entrano a servire neltabernacolo dell'alleanza.	23 from thirty years and above, even to fifty years. Number all those who enter and minister in the tabernacle of the covenant.
24 L'ufficio della famiglia de' Gersoniti è questo:	24 This is the duty of the family of the Gershonites:
25 Ei porteranno i veli del tabernacolo, e le coperte dello stesso tabernacolo, e la secondacoperta, e il velame di pelli violette, che sta di sopra, e la tenda, che pende all'ingressodel tabernacolo dell'alleanza,	25 to carry the curtains of the tabernacle, and the roof of the covenant, the other covering, and the veil over everything, and the violet tent, which hangs at the entrance of the tabernacle of the covenant,
26 Le cortine dell'atrio, e il velo dell'ingresso dinanzi al tabernacolo. Tutte le cose chespettano all'altare, le funi, e i vasi del ministero,	26 the curtains of the atrium, and the veil at the entrance, which is before tabernacle. Everything that pertains to the altar, the cords, and the vessels of the ministry
27 Li porteranno i figliuoli di Gerson secondo gli ordini che avranno da Aronne, e daifigliuoli di lui, e ad ognun di loro sarà noto il servigio che dee prestare.	27 the sons of Gershon shall carry, under the orders of Aaron and his sons. And so shall each one know to which burden he ought to surrender.
28 Queste sono le incumbenze della famiglia de' Gersoniti nel tabernacolo dell'alleanza: essidipenderanno da Ithamar figliuolo di Aronne sommo sacerdote.	28 This is the service of the family of the Gershonites, in the tabernacle of the covenant, and they shall be under the hand of Ithamar, the son of Aaron the priest.
29 Farai anche il novero de' figliuoli di Merari secondo le famiglie, e le case dei padri loro.	29 Likewise, you shall take a census of the sons of Merari, by the families and houses of their fathers,
30 Da trent'anni in su fino a' cinquanta conterai tutti quelli che entrano ad adempierel'obbligo del lor ministero, e a servire al tabernacolo dell'alleanza.	30 from thirty years and above, even to fifty years, of all who enter to the office of their ministry and to the service of the covenant of the testimony.
31 La loro incumbenza è questa: Porteranno le tavole del tabernacolo e le sue travi, lecolonne, e le loro basi,	31 These are their burdens: They shall carry the panels of the tabernacle and its bars, the columns and their bases,
32 Ed anche le colonne, che sono intorno all'atrio colle loro basi, e i chiodi, e le funi.Riceveranno in consegna tutti i vasi, e robe contate, e poi le porteranno.	32 also the columns surrounding the atrium, with their bases and tent pegs and cords. They shall accept by number all the vessels and articles, and so shall they carry them.
33 Questa è rincumbenza della famiglia de' Merariti, e il ministero loro nel tabernacolodell'alleanza: e saranno subordinati a Ithamar, figliuolo del sommo sacerdote Aronne.	33 This is the office of the family of the Merarites, and their ministry for the tabernacle of the covenant. And they shall be under the hand of Ithamar, the son of Aaron the priest.”
34 Mosè adunque e Aronne, e i principi della sinagoga fecero il novero de' figliuoli di Caath,secondo le famiglie, e le case de' padri loro,	34 Therefore, Moses and Aaron, and the leaders of the assembly, took a census of the sons of Kohath, by the kinships and houses of their fathers,
35 Da' trent'anni in su fino a' cinquanta contarono tutti quelli che entrano nel ministero deltabernacolo dell'alleanza:	35 from thirty years and above, even to the fiftieth year, of all who enter to the ministry of the tabernacle of the covenant.
36 E si trovarono due mila settecento cinquanta.	36 And there were found two thousand seven hundred fifty.
37 Questo è il numero di quelli della stirpe di Caath, che entrano nel tabernacolodell'alleanza: questi furono contati da Mosè, e da Aronne secondo l'ordine dato dal Signoreper mezzo di Mosè.	37 This is the number of the people of Kohath, who enter the tabernacle of the covenant. These Moses and Aaron numbered according to the word of the Lord by the hand of Moses.
38 Furon similmente contati i figliuoli di Gerson secondo le famiglie, e le case dei padriloro,	38 The sons of Gershon also were numbered by the kinships and houses of their fathers,
39 Da' trent'anni in su fino a' cinquanta furon contati tutti quelli che entrano a servire neltabernacolo dell'alleanza:	39 from thirty years and above, even to the fiftieth year, all who enter so as to minister in the tabernacle of the covenant.
40 E se ne trovarono due mila secento trenta.	40 And there were found two thousand six hundred thirty.
41 Questa è la somma dei Gersoniti contati da Mosè e da Aronne secondo l'ordine del Signore.	41 This is the people of the Gershonites, whom Moses and Aaron numbered according to the word of the Lord.
42 Furono eziandio contati i figliuoli di Merari secondo le famiglie, e le case de' padri loro,	42 The sons of Merari also were numbered by the kinships and houses of their fathers,
43 Da' trent'anni in poi fino a cinquanta furon contati tutti quelli che entrano ad eseguire leloro incumbenze nel tabernacolo dell'alleanza;	43 from thirty years and above, even to the fiftieth year, all who enter to fulfill the rituals of the tabernacle of the covenant.
44 E si trovarono tre mila dugento:	44 And there were found three thousand two hundred.
45 Questo è il numero dei figliuoli di Merari, che furon noverati da Mosè e da Aronne, secondol'ordine dato da Dio per mezzo di Mosè.	45 This is the number of the sons of Merari, whom Moses and Aaron counted according to the command of the Lord by the hand of Moses.
46 Tutti i Leviti, i quali da Mosè e Aronne, e da' principi d'Israele furon contati, e fattiregistrare pe' loro nomi, secondo le famiglie, e le case de' padri loro,	46 All who were counted from the Levites, and whom, by name, Moses and Aaron, and the leaders of Israel, counted by the kinships and houses of their fathers,
47 Da' trent'anni in su fino a' cinquanta, i quali entravano a servire nel tabernacolo, e aportare i pesi,	47 from thirty years and above, until the fiftieth year, entering for the ministry of the tabernacle and carrying the burdens,
48 Furono la somma di otto mila cinquecento ottanta.	48 were together eight thousand five hundred eighty.
49 Mosè ne fece il novero secondo l'ordine del Signore, assegnata a ciascheduno la suaincumbenza, e il suo peso, conforme aveva a lui comandato il Signore.	49 Moses took a census of them, according to the word of the Lord, each one according to their office and their burdens, just as the Lord had instructed him.
