1 For the sons of Core, a psalm of a canticle. The foundations thereof are in the holy mountains:	1 Des fils de Coré. Psaume. Cantique. Lui-même l’a fondée sur sa montagne sainte,
2 The Lord loveth the gates of Sion above all the tabernacles of Jacob.	2 le Seigneur aime les portes de Sion plus que nulle autre demeure en Jacob.
3 Glorious things are said of thee, O city of God.	3 On dit sur toi de bien belles choses, cité de Dieu!
4 I will be mindful of Rahab and of Babylon knowing me. Behold the foreigners, and Tyre, and the people of the Ethiopians, these were there.	4 Nous parlons entre amis de l’Égypte, de Babel, et puis de Tyr, des Philistins, de l’Éthiopie: tel et tel y sont nés.
5 Shall not Sion say: This man and that man is born in her? and the Highest himself hath founded her.	5 Mais pour Sion, que dirons-nous? L’un après l’autre, tous y viennent renaître, le Très-Haut, en personne, la met en place.
6 The Lord shall tell in his writings of peoples and of princes, of them that have been in her.	6 Le Seigneur inscrit sur le registre des peuples: “Celui-ci est né chez elle, celui-là encore.”
7 The dwelling in thee is as it were of all rejoicing.	7 Cependant que chez toi tous font la fête, et l’on chante et l’on danse.
