1 These are the generations of the sons of Noe: Sem, Cham, and Japheth: and unto them sons were born after the flood.	1 Noé fiainak, Szem, Kám és Jáfetnek, nemzetsége a következő: fiaik születtek ugyanis a vízözön után.
2 The sons of Japheth: Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Thubal, and Mosoch, and Thiras.	2 Jáfet fiai: Gómer, Magóg, Madáj, Jáván, Tubál, Mesek és Tírász. –
3 And the sons of Gomer: Ascenez and Riphath and Thogorma.	3 Gómer fiai pedig: Askenáz, Rifát és Togorma. –
4 And the sons of Javan: Elisa and Tharsis, Cetthim, and Dodanim.	4 Jáván fiai pedig: Elisa, Tarzis, Kittím és Rodáním.
5 By these were divided the islands of the Gentiles in their lands, every one according to his tongue and their families in their nations.	5 Ezekből különültek el a nemzetek szigetei, országaik szerint, mindegyik a maga nyelve, családja és nemzete szerint.
6 And the sons of Cham: Chus, and Mesram, and Phuth, and Chanaan.	6 Kám fiai pedig: Kús, Micrajim, Pút és Kánaán. –
7 And the sons of Chus: Saba and Hevila, and Sabatha, and Regma, and Sabatacha. The sons of Regma: Saba and Dadan.	7 Kús fiai: Sába, Havila, Szabáta, Regma és Szabátáka. – Regma fiai: Sába és Dedán. –
8 Now Chus begot Nemrod: he began to be mighty on earth.	8 Kús nemzette még Nimródot: ő volt az első uralkodó a földön.
9 And he was a stout hunter before the Lord. Hence came a proverb: Even as Nemrod the stout hunter before the Lord.	9 Erős vadász is volt az Úr előtt, azért vált közmondássá: »Mint Nimród, olyan erős vadász az Úr előtt.«
10 And the beginning of his kingdom was Babylon, and Arach, and Achad, and Chalanne in the land of Sennaar.	10 Birodalmának kezdete volt: Babilon, Erek, Akkád és Kálne, Sineár földjén.
11 Out of that land came forth Assur, and built Ninive, and the streets of the city, and Chale.	11 Erről a földről kiment Asszúrba, és megépítette Ninivét, Rehobót-Írt, Kálét
12 Resen also between Ninive and Chale: this is the great city.	12 és Reszent – Ninive és Kále között –, vagyis a nagy várost.
13 And Mesraim begot Ludim, and Anamim, and Laabim, Nepthuim,	13 Micrajim nemzette: a luditákat, az anamitákat, a lahabitákat, a neftuitákat,
14 And Phetrusim, and Chasluim; of whom came forth the Philistines, and the Capthorim.	14 a fetruszitákat, a kaszluitákat és a kaftoriakat – ezek közül vonultak ki a filiszteusok.
15 And Chanaan begot Sidon, his firstborn, the Hethite,	15 Kánaán pedig nemzette: Szidont, az elsőszülöttét, valamint a hetitákat,
16 And the Jebusite, and the Amorrhite, and the Gergesite,	16 a jebuzitákat, az amoritákat, a girgasitákat,
17 The Hevite and the Aracite: the Sinite,	17 a hivvitákat, az arákitákat, a színitákat,
18 And the Aradian, the Samarite, and the Hamathite: and afterwards the families of the Chanaanites were spread abroad.	18 az arvaditákat, a zemaritákat és a hamatitákat. Miután a kánaániak nemzetségei szétszéledtek,

21 Of Sem also, the father of all children of Heber, the elder brother of Japheth, sons were born.	21 Szemtől, Héber valamennyi fiának atyjától, Jáfet bátyjától is születtek fiak.
22 The sons of Sem: Elam and Assur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram.	22 Szem fiai: Élám, Asszúr, Arfaxád, Lúd és Arám. –

24 But Arphaxad begot Sale, of whom was born Heber.	24 Arfaxád Selahot nemzette, ettől Héber származott,

30 And their dwelling was from Messa as we go on as far as Sephar, a mountain in the east.	30 Lakóhelyük Mésából haladva Szefárig, a keleti hegységig terjedt.
31 These are the children of Sem according to their kindreds and tongues, and countries in their nations.	31 Ezek Szem fiai, nemzetségeik, nyelveik, országaik és nemzeteik szerint.
32 These are the families of Noe, according to their peoples and nations. By these were the nations divided on the earth after the flood.	32 Ezek Noé fiainak nemzetségei, népeik és nemzeteik szerint; ezekből különültek el a nemzetek a földön a vízözön után.
