1 Salmo di cantico per il giorno del sabato. EGLI è una bella cosa di celebrare il Signore, E di salmeggiare al tuo Nome, o Altissimo;	1 A Song for the Sabbath. It is good to give thanks to the LORD, to sing praises to thy name, O Most High;
2 Di predicare per ogni mattina la tua benignità, E la tua verità tutte le notti;	2 to declare thy steadfast love in the morning, and thy faithfulness by night,
3 In sul decacordo, e in sul saltero; Con canto di voce, giunto alla cetera.	3 to the music of the lute and the harp, to the melody of the lyre.
4 Perciocchè, o Signore, tu mi hai rallegrato colle tue opere; Io giubilo ne’ fatti delle tue mani.	4 For thou, O LORD, hast made me glad by thy work; at the works of thy hands I sing for joy.
5 Quanto son grandi, o Signore, le tue opere! I tuoi pensamenti son grandemente profondi.	5 How great are thy works, O LORD! Thy thoughts are very deep!
6 L’uomo stolto non conosce, E il pazzo non intende questo:	6 The dull man cannot know, the stupid cannot understand this:
7 Che gli empi germogliano come l’erba, E che tutti gli operatori d’iniquità fioriscono, Per perire in eterno.	7 that, though the wicked sprout like grass and all evildoers flourish, they are doomed to destruction for ever,
8 Ma tu, o Signore, Sei l’Eccelso in eterno.	8 but thou, O LORD, art on high for ever.
9 Perciocchè, ecco, i tuoi nemici, o Signore; Perciocchè, ecco, i tuoi nemici periranno; E tutti gli operatori d’iniquità saranno dissipati.	9 For, lo, thy enemies, O LORD, for, lo, thy enemies shall perish; all evildoers shall be scattered.
10 Ma tu alzerai il mio corno, come quello di un liocorno; Io sarò unto d’olio verdeggiante.	10 But thou hast exalted my horn like that of the wild ox; thou hast poured over me fresh oil.
11 E l’occhio mio riguarderà i miei nemici; E le mie orecchie udiranno ciò che io desidero de’ maligni Che si levano contro a me.	11 My eyes have seen the downfall of my enemies, my ears have heard the doom of my evil assailants.
12 Il giusto fiorirà come la palma, Crescerà come il cedro nel Libano.	12 The righteous flourish like the palm tree, and grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
13 Quelli che saran piantati nella Casa del Signore Fioriranno ne’ cortili del nostro Dio.	13 They are planted in the house of the LORD, they flourish in the courts of our God.
14 Nell’estrema vecchiezza ancor frutteranno, E saranno prosperi e verdeggianti;	14 They still bring forth fruit in old age, they are ever full of sap and green,
15 Per predicare che il Signore, la mia Rocca, è diritto; E che non vi è alcuna iniquità in lui	15 to show that the LORD is upright; he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.
