1 Više puta i na više načina Bog nekoć govoraše ocima po prorocima;	1 At many moments in the past and by many means, God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets;but
2 konačno, u ove dane, progovori nama u Sinu. Njega postavi baštinikom svega; Njega po kome sazda svjetove.	2 in our time, the final days, he has spoken to us in the person of his Son, whom he appointed heir of althings and through whom he made the ages.
3 On, koji je odsjaj Slave i otisak Bića njegova te sve nosi snagom riječi svoje, pošto očisti grijehe, sjede zdesna Veličanstvu u visinama;	3 He is the reflection of God's glory and bears the impress of God's own being, sustaining all things byhis powerful command; and now that he has purged sins away, he has taken his seat at the right hand of thedivine Majesty on high.
4 postade toliko moćniji od anđela koliko je uzvišenije nego oni baštinio ime.	4 So he is now as far above the angels as the title which he has inherited is higher than their own name.
5 Ta kome od anđelâ ikad reče: Ti si sin moj, danas te rodih; ili pak: Ja ću njemu biti otac, a on će meni biti sin.	5 To which of the angels, then, has God ever said: You are my Son, today I have fathered you, or: I shalbe a father to him and he a son to me?
6 A opet, kad uvodi Prvorođenca u svijet, govori: Nek pred njim nice padnu svi anđeli Božji.	6 Again, when he brings the First-born into the world, he says: Let all the angels of God pay him homage.
7 Za anđele veli: Anđele čini vjetrovima, sluge svoje plamenom ognjenim,	7 To the angels, he says: appointing the winds his messengers and flames of fire his servants,
8 ali za Sina: Prijestolje je tvoje, Bože, u vijeke vjekova, i pravedno žezlo – žezlo je tvog kraljevstva.	8 but to the Son he says: Your throne, God, is for ever and ever; and: the sceptre of his kingdom is asceptre of justice;
9 Ti ljubiš pravednost, a mrziš bezakonje, stoga Bog, Bog tvoj, tebe pomaza uljem radosti kao nikog od tvojih drugova.	9 you love uprightness and detest evil. This is why God, your God, has anointed you with the oil ofgladness, as none of your rivals.
10 I: Ti u početku, Gospodine, utemelji zemlju i nebo je djelo ruku tvojih.	10 And again: Long ago, Lord, you laid earth's foundations, the heavens are the work of your hands.
11 Propast će, ti ćeš ostati, sve će ostarjeti kao odjeća.	11 They pass away but you remain, they al wear out like a garment.
12 Mijenjaš ih poput haljine, kao odjeću, i nestaju. A ti si uvijek isti – godinama tvojim nema kraja.	12 Like a cloak you wil rol them up, like a garment, and they wil be changed. But you never alter andyour years are unending.
13 Za koga pak od anđelâ ikad reče: Sjedi mi zdesna dok ne položim neprijatelje tvoje za podnožje nogama tvojim!?	13 To which of the angels has God ever said: Take your seat at my right hand til I have made yourenemies your footstool?
14 Svi ti zar nisu služnički duhovi što se šalju služiti za one koji imaju baštiniti spasenje?	14 Are they not al ministering spirits, sent to serve for the sake of those who are to inherit salvation?
