¹ Godine desete, desetoga mjeseca, dvanaestoga dana, dođe mi riječ Jahvina:	¹ On the twelfth day of the tenth month in the tenth year, the word of the LORD came to me:
² »Sine čovječji, okreni lice faraonu, kralju egipatskom, i prorokuj protiv njega i protiv sveg Egipta.	² Son of man, set your face against Pharaoh, king of Egypt, and prophesy against him and against all Egypt.
³ Govori i reci: Ovako govori Jahve Gospod: ‘Evo me protiv tebe, faraone, kralju egipatski, golemi krokodile što ležiš usred rijeka svojih. Ti reče: ‘Rijeke su moje, sebi sam ih načinio.’	³ Say this to him: Thus says the Lord GOD: See! I am coming at you, Pharaoh, king of Egypt, Great crouching monster amidst your Niles: Who say, "The Niles are mine; it is I who made them!"
⁴ I zato ću ti kuke zarit’ u gubicu i sve ribe rijeka tvojih zalijepiti na krljušti tvoje. Izvući ću te iz rijeka tvojih sa svim ribama rijeka tvojih zalijepljenim na tvoje krljušti.	⁴ I will put hooks in your jaws and make the fish of your Niles stick to your scales, then draw you up from the midst of your Niles along with all the fish of your Niles sticking to your scales.
⁵ Bacit ću u pustinju tebe i sve ribe iz rijeka tvojih. Na tlo ćeš poljsko pasti, nitko te neće podić’ ni sahraniti, zvijerima zemaljskim i nebeskim pticama dat ću te za hranu!	⁵ I will cast you into the desert, you and all the fish of your Niles; You shall fall upon the open field, you shall not be taken up or buried; To the beasts of the earth and the birds of the air I give you as food,
⁶ I znat će svi stanovnici Egipta da sam ja Jahve. Jer ti bješe trska za oslonac domu Izraelovu!	⁶ That all who dwell in Egypt may know that I am the LORD. Because you have been a reed staff for the house of Israel:
⁷ Kad te u ruku uhvatiše, ti se slomi i rane im otvori; a kad se na te osloniše, ti prepuče i bedra im sva izrani.’	⁷ When they held you in hand, you splintered, throwing every shoulder out of joint; When they leaned on you, you broke, bringing each one of them down headlong;
⁸ Stog ovako govori Jahve Gospod: ‘Gle, dovest ću mač svoj na te, istrijebit ću iz tebe i ljude i stoku!	⁸ therefore thus says the Lord GOD: See! I will bring the sword against you, and cut off from you both man and beast.
⁹ Sva će zemlja egipatska pustoš biti i razvalina, i oni će znati da sam ja Jahve! Jer ti reče: ‘Rijeka je moja, sebi je načinih.’	⁹ The land of Egypt shall become a desolate waste; thus they shall know that I am the LORD. Because you said, "The Niles are mine; it is I who made them,"
¹⁰ Zato evo me na te i na rijeke tvoje da pretvorim zemlju egipatsku u pustinju i pustoš od Migdola do Sevana i do granice etiopske!	¹⁰ therefore see! I am coming at you and against your Niles; I will make the land of Egypt a waste and a desolation from Migdol to Syene, and even to the frontier of Ethiopia.
¹¹ Neće njome više prolaziti noga ljudska ni noga životinjska, ostat će nenaseljena četrdeset godina.	¹¹ No foot of man or beast shall pass through it; they shall not pass through it, and it will be uninhabited for forty years.
¹² Od zemlje ću egipatske načiniti pustoš sred zemalja opustošenih, a gradovi njezini bit će četrdeset godina ruševine među razvaljenim gradovima. I raspršit ću Egipćane među narode i rasijat ću ih po zemljama.’	¹² I will make the land of Egypt the most desolate of lands, and its cities shall be the most deserted of cities for forty years; and I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations and strew them over foreign lands.
¹³ Jer, ovako govori Jahve Gospod: ‘Kad mine četrdeset godina, sakupit ću opet sve Egipćane između narodâ kamo bijahu raspršeni.	¹³ Yet thus says the Lord GOD: At the end of forty years I will gather the Egyptians from the peoples among whom they are scattered,
¹⁴ Vratit ću izgnanike egipatske, vratit ću ih opet u zemlju Patros, domovinu njihovu, da osnuju ondje slabo kraljevstvo.	¹⁴ and I will restore Egypt's fortune, bringing them back to the land of Pathros, the land of their origin, where it will be the lowliest
¹⁵ Ono će biti najmanje od svih kraljevstava, da se više nikad ne digne nad druge narode. Smanjit ću ga da više nikad ne podjarmi drugih naroda	¹⁵ of kingdoms, never more to set itself above the nations. I will make them few, that they may not dominate the nations.
¹⁶ i da više ne bude uzdanje domu Izraelovu. Nek’ mu u pamet doziva grijehe koje bijaše počinio okrećući se za njima. I oni će spoznati da sam ja Jahve.’«	¹⁶ No longer shall they be for the house of Israel to trust in, but the living reminder of its guilt for having turned to follow after them. Thus they shall know that I am the LORD.
¹⁷ Godine dvadeset i sedme, prvoga dana prvoga mjeseca, dođe mi riječ Jahvina:	¹⁷ On the first day of the first month in the twenty-seventh year, the word of the LORD came to me:
¹⁸ »Sine čovječji, kralj babilonski Nabukodonozor krenu s vojskom na velik pohod protiv grada Tira. I svaka glava ogolje i svako se rame odadrije. Ali ni on ni vojska mu ne imahu nikakve dobiti od toga što krenuše na Tir.	¹⁸ Son of man, Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, has led his army in an exhausting campaign against Tyre. Their heads became bald and their shoulders were galled; but neither he nor his army received any wages from Tyre for the campaign he led against it.
¹⁹ Stoga ovako govori Jahve Gospod: ‘Gle, predat ću Nabukodonozoru, kralju babilonskome, zemlju egipatsku. Odnijet će joj blago, nagrabiti plijena i opljačkati je. To će biti plaća vojsci njegovoj.	¹⁹ Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: I am now giving the land of Egypt to Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon. He shall carry off its riches, plundering and pillaging it for the wages of his soldiers, who did it for me;
²⁰ Za trud što na Tir krenu dat ću mu svu zemlju egipatsku, jer za me bijaše radio’ – riječ je Jahve Gospoda.	²⁰ as payment for his toil I have given him the land of Egypt, says the Lord GOD.
²¹ ‘U onaj ću dan učiniti da izraste rog domu Izraelovu, a tebi ću usta otvoriti među njima. I znat će da sam ja Jahve.’«	²¹ On that day I will make a horn sprout for the house of Israel, and I will cause you to speak out in their midst; thus they shall know that I am the LORD.
