1 Oracle on Tyre: Wail, O ships of Tarshish, for your port is destroyed; From the land of the Kittim the news reaches them.	1 Lo carico di Tiro. Urlate, o navi del mare, però che la casa è guastata, onde solean venire; è revelato loro della terra di Cetim.
2 Silence! you who dwell on the coast, you merchants of Sidon, Whose messengers crossed the sea	2 Tacete, voi che abitate nell' isola dove si mercantizza; li Sidoni passatori del mare riempieranno te (la quale abiti).
3 over the deep waters. The grain of Shihor, the harvest of the Nile, was her revenue, and she the merchant among nations.	3 Tra molte acque lo seme del fiume del Nilo, e ricolta e le biade sue; e fu fatta mercanzia di genti.
4 Shame, O Sidon, fortress on the sea, for the sea has spoken: "I have not been in labor, nor given birth, nor raised young men, nor reared virgins."	4 Lo mare disse: vergognati, Sidone, fortezza del mare, dicendo: io non partorirò, e non nutricai giovani, e non feci venire le vergini gravide.
5 When it is heard in Egypt they shall be in anguish at the news of Tyre.	5 E quando sarà udito in Egitto, dolerannosi quando si audirà (così) di Tiro:
6 Pass over to Tarshish, wailing, you who dwell on the coast!	6 Passate li mari, urlate, voi che abitate nell'isola.
7 Is this your wanton city, whose origin is from old, Whose feet have taken her to dwell in distant lands?	7 Or non è questa la vostra, la quale dalli dì primi si gloriava nella sua antichità? li suoi piedi la menaranno dalla lunga ad andare in peregrinaggio.
8 Who has planned such a thing against Tyre, the bestower of crowns, Whose merchants are princes, whose traders are the earth's honored men?	8 Or chi pensò questo sopra Tiro, incoronata di quinci addietro, li cui mercatanti erano principi, e li suoi ordinatori, gentili della terra?
9 The LORD of hosts has planned it, to disgrace all pride of majesty, to degrade all the earth's honored men.	9 Lo Signore delli esèrciti pensò questo, di ritrarre la superbia d'ogni gloria, e menare a vergogna tutti li nobili della terra.
10 Cross to your own land, O ship of Tarshish; the harbor is no more.	10 O tu, figliuola del mare, passa la tua terra come uno fiume; non v'è più cintura a te.
11 His hand he stretches out over the sea, he shakes kingdoms; The LORD has ordered the destruction of Canaan's strongholds.	11 Distenderà la sua mano sopra lo mare, e urleranno li regni; lo Signore comandò contro a Canaan, che ispezzasse li suoi uomini forti.
12 You shall exult no more, he says, you who are now oppressed, virgin daughter Sidon. Arise, pass over to the Kittim, even there you shall find no rest.	12 E disse: non aggiugnere più per gloriarti sostenendo calunnia, tu vergine figliuola di Sidone; lèvati suso, e naviga in Cetim, e ivi non averai riposo.
13 (This people is the land of the Chaldeans, not Assyria.) She whom the impious founded, setting up towers for her, Has had her castles destroyed, and has been turned into a ruin.	13 Ecco, la terra de' Caldei non fu cotale popolo, Assur (cioè quella terra) la fondoe; e menoe in prigione li suoi robusti, e cavarono di sotto le sue case, e lei puosono in ruina.
14 Lament, O ships of Tarshish, for your haven is destroyed.	14 Urlate, navi del mare, però che la fortezza del mare è guastata.
15 On that day, Tyre shall be forgotten for seventy years. With the days of another king, at the end of seventy years, it shall be for Tyre as in the song about the harlot:	15 É tu, o Tiro, sarai in dimenticamento, in quel tempo, LXX anni, come li dì d'uno re; e dopo i LXX anni starà a Tiro uno canto, che ha nome di meretrice.
16 Take a harp, go about the city, O forgotten harlot; Pluck the strings skillfully, sing many songs, that they may remember you.	16 Piglia la citara, e attornia la città, tu meretrice che se' dimenticata; canta bene, e frequenta lo cantico, a ciò che di te sia memoria.
17 At the end of the seventy years the LORD shall visit Tyre. She shall return to her hire and deal with all the world's kingdoms on the face of the earth.	17 E sarà questo, che dopo e' LXX anni Iddio visiterà Tiro, e reduceralla alle sue mercedi; ancora (sarà quando) commetterà fornicazione colli reami della torra sopra la faccia della terra.
18 But her merchandise and her hire shall be sacred to the LORD. It shall not be stored up or laid away, but from her merchandise those who dwell before the LORD shall eat their fill and clothe themselves in choice attire.	18 E saranno li suoi mercatanti e le sue mercedi santificate a Dio; non si ordineranno e non si riporranno, però che quelle ch' erano le sue mercanzie abiteranno inanzi a Dio, acciò che mangino sì che si sàturino, e vestansi fino alla vecchiezza.
