Izajás könyve 3

KÁLDI-NEOVULGÁTA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Mert íme, az Úr, a Seregek Ura megfosztja Jeruzsálemet és Júdát a támasztól és oltalomtól, minden támasztól, amit a kenyér jelent, és minden segítségtől, amit a víz nyújt.	1 Now the Lord Yahweh Sabaoth is about to deprive Jerusalem and Judah of resources and provisions --al reserves of food, al reserves of water-
2 Elveszi tőle a hőst és a harcost, a bírót és a prófétát, a jóst és az öreget,	2 of hero, warrior, judge, prophet, diviner, elder,
3 ötven ember parancsnokát és a tekintélyest, a tanácsadót, a bölcs mestert és a gyógyításhoz értőt.	3 captain, dignitary, counsellor, architect, soothsayer.
4 Ifjakat teszek fejedelmeikké, és gyermekek uralkodnak majd rajtuk.	4 'I shal give them boys for princes, raw lads to rule over them.'
5 Szorongatja a nép között egyik ember a másikat, mindenki a társát: rátámad az ifjú az öregre, s az alacsonyrendű a tekintélyesre.	5 People will be il -treated by one another, each by his neighbour; the young wil insult the aged, and thelow, the respected.
6 Az egyik megragadja testvérét, aki atyja házából való: »Neked még van ruhád, légy a fejedelmünk, és e romhalmaz legyen a te kezed alatt!«,	6 Yes, a man wil catch hold of his brother in their father's house, to say, 'You have a cloak, so you beleader, and rule this heap of ruins.'
7 az így kiált majd azon a napon: »Nem leszek én orvosa másnak, hiszen az én házamban sincsen sem kenyér, sem ruha; ne tegyetek engem a nép fejedelmévé!«	7 And, that day, the other wil protest, 'I am no healer; in my house there is neither food nor clothing; donot make me leader of the people.'
8 Mert elbukik Jeruzsálem, és Júda elesik, mivel szavuk és tetteik az Úr ellen irányulnak, hogy szembeszegüljenek dicsőséges szemével.	8 For Jerusalem has col apsed and Judah has fallen, because their words and deeds affront Yahweh andinsult his glorious gaze.
9 Arcátlanságuk vádolja őket, és vétküket, mint Szodoma, hirdetik, nem titkolják. Jaj nekik, mert meglakolnak a gonoszságért!	9 Their complacency bears witness against them, they parade their sin like Sodom; they do not conceal it,al the worse for them, for they have hatched their own downfal .
10 Nyugtassátok meg az igazat: »Jól van!«, mert tettei gyümölcsét fogja enni.	10 Say, 'Blessed the upright, for he will feed on the fruit of his deeds;
11 Jaj a gonosznak! Rosszul jár, mert keze tetteihez mérten lesz fizetsége.	11 woe to the wicked, it wil go il with him, for he will be treated as his actions deserve.'
12 Népemet gyermekek sanyargatják, és asszonyok uralkodnak rajta. Én népem! Vezetőid tévútra visznek, és lépteid útját megzavarják.	12 O my people, their oppressors pil age them and extortioners rule over them! O my people, your rulersmislead you and efface the paths you ought to fol ow!
13 Ám az Úr felkel, hogy pereljen, feláll, hogy megítélje a népeket.	13 Yahweh has risen to accuse, is standing to pass judgement on the people.
14 Az Úr ítéletre száll népe véneivel és fejedelmeivel: »Ti feldúltátok a szőlőt, szegénytől rabolt holmi van házaitokban.	14 Yahweh is about to try the elders and the princes of his people, 'You are the ones who have ravagedthe vineyard, the spoils of the poor are in your houses.
15 Miért zúzzátok össze népemet, és töritek össze a szegények arcát?« – mondja az Úr, a Seregek Istene.	15 By what right do you crush my people and grind the faces of the poor?' says the Lord Yahweh Sabaoth.
16 Így szól az Úr: »Mivel felfuvalkodtak Sion leányai, nyakukat nyújtogatva és szemükkel kacsingatva járnak, tipegve lépegetnek, és lábpereceikkel csörögnek,	16 Yahweh says: Because Zion's daughters are proud and walk with heads held high and enticing eyes --with mincing steps they go, jingling the bangles on their feet-
17 azért kopasszá teszi az Úr Sion leányainak feje tetejét, és halántékukat felfedi az Úr.«	17 the Lord will give Zion's daughters scabby heads, Yahweh will lay their foreheads bare.
18 Azon a napon majd elveszi az Úr a díszeket: a lábpereceket és a nyakláncokat,	18 That day the Lord wil take away the ornamental chains, medallions, crescents,
19 a holdacskákat és a fülbevalókat, a karpereceket és a fátylakat,	19 pendants, bracelets, trinkets,
20 a hajdíszeket és a lábkarikákat, az öveket, az illatszertartókat és a varázsszobrokat,	20 diadems, ankle-chains, necklaces, scent bottles, amulets,
21 a gyűrűket és az orrkarikákat,	21 finger-rings, nose-rings,
22 a díszes ruhákat és a palástokat, a vállkendőket és az erszényeket,	22 party dresses, cloaks, scarves, purses,
23 a tükröket és a gyolcsokat, a fejkötőket és a lepleket.	23 mirrors, linen clothes, turbans and mantillas.
24 És lesz a balzsamillat helyett büdösség, az öv helyett kötél, a bodorított haj helyett kopaszság, a díszöltözet helyett zsákruha és a szépség helyett szégyenbélyeg.	24 Then, instead of perfume, a stink; instead of belt, a rope, instead of hair elaborately dressed, a shavenscalp, instead of gorgeous clothes, sacking round the waist, and brand marks instead of beauty.
25 Embereid a kardtól hullanak el, és hőseid a harcban.	25 Your men wil fal by the sword, your warriors in battle,
26 Szomorkodnak és gyászolnak majd városkapui, ő pedig kifosztva ül a földön.	26 and her gates wil moan and mourn; she wil sit on the ground, deserted.
