Épître de Jude 1

1 Jude, serviteur de Jésus Christ, frère de Jacques, aux appelés, aimés de Dieu le Père et gardés pour JésusChrist.	1 Jude, a servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to those who are beloved in God the Father, and who are guarded and called in Jesus Christ:
2 A vous miséricorde et paix et charité en abondance.	2 May mercy, and peace, and love be fulfilled in you.
3 Très chers, j'avais un grand désir de vous écrire au sujet de notre salut commun, et j'ai été contraint de lefaire, afin de vous exhorter à combattre pour la foi transmise aux saints une fois pour toutes.	3 Most beloved, taking all care to write to you about your common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you in order to beg you to contend earnestly for the faith that was handed down once to the saints.
4 Car il s'est glissé parmi vous certains hommes qui depuis longtemps ont été marqués d'avance pour cettesentence: ces impies travestissent en débauche la grâce de notre Dieu et renient notre seul Maître et SeigneurJésus Christ.	4 For certain men entered unnoticed, who were written of beforehand unto this judgment: impious persons who are transforming the grace of our God into self-indulgence, and who are denying both the sole Ruler and our Lord Jesus Christ.
5 Je veux vous rappeler, à vous qui connaissez tout cela une fois pour toutes, que le Seigneur, après avoirsauvé le peuple de la terre d'Egypte, a fait périr ensuite les incrédules.	5 So I want to caution you. Those who once knew everything that Jesus did, in saving the people from the land of Egypt, afterwards perished because they did not believe.
6 Quant aux anges, qui n'ont pas conservé leur primauté, mais ont quitté leur propre demeure, c'est pour lejugement du grand Jour qu'il les a gardés dans des liens éternels, au fond des ténèbres.	6 And truly, the Angels, who did not keep to their first place, but instead abandoned their own domiciles, he has reserved with perpetual chains under darkness, unto the great day of judgment.
7 Ainsi Sodome, Gomorrhe et les villes voisines qui se sont prostituées de la même manière et ont couruaprès une chair différente, sont-elles proposées en exemple, subissant la peine d'un feu éternel.	7 And also Sodom and Gomorrah, and the adjoining cities, in similar ways, having given themselves over to fornication and to the pursuing of other flesh, were made an example, suffering the punishment of eternal fire.
8 Pourtant, ceux-là aussi, en délire, souillent la chair, méprisent la Seigneurie, blasphèment les Gloires.	8 Similarly also, these ones certainly defile the flesh, and they despise proper authority, and they blaspheme against majesty.
9 Pourtant, l'archange Michel, lorsqu'il plaidait contre le diable et discutait au sujet du corps de Moïse,n'osa pas porter contre lui un jugement outrageant, mais dit: "Que le Seigneur te réprime!"	9 When Michael the Archangel, disputing with the devil, contended about the body of Moses, he did not dare to bring against him a judgment of blasphemy, so instead he said: “The Lord commands you.”
10 Quant à eux, ils blasphèment ce qu'ils ignorent; et ce qu'ils connaissent par nature, comme les bêtes sansraison, ne sert qu'à les perdre.	10 But these men certainly blaspheme against whatever they do not understand. And yet, whatever they, like mute animals, know from nature, in these things they are corrupted.
11 Malheur à eux! car c'est dans la voie de Caïn qu'ils sont allés, c'est dans l'égarement de Balaam qu'ils sesont jetés pour un salaire, c'est par la révolte de Coré qu'ils ont péri.	11 Woe to them! For they have gone after the way of Cain, and they have poured out the error of Balaam for profit, and they have perished in the sedition of Korah.
12 Ce sont eux les écueils de vos agapes. Ils font bonne chère sans vergogne, ils se repaissent: nuées sanseau que les vents emportent, arbres de fin de saison, sans fruits, deux fois morts, déracinés,	12 These ones are defiled within their banquets, enjoying themselves and feeding themselves without fear; waterless clouds, which are tossed about by winds; autumn trees, unfruitful, twice dead, uprooted;
13 houle sauvage de la mer écumant sa propre honte, astres errants auxquels les ténèbres épaisses sontgardées pour l'éternité.	13 raging waves of the sea, foaming from their own confusion; wandering stars, for whom the whirlwind of darkness has been reserved forever!
14 C'est aussi pour eux qu'a prophétisé en ces termes Hénoch, le septième patriarche depuis Adam: "Voici:le Seigneur est venu avec ses saintes myriades,	14 And about these, Enoch, the seventh from Adam, also prophesied, saying: “Behold, the Lord is arriving with thousands of his saints,
15 afin d'exercer le jugement contre tous et de confondre tous les impies pour toutes les oeuvres d'impiétéqu'ils ont commises, pour toutes les paroles dures qu'ont proférées contre lui les pécheurs impies."	15 to execute judgment against everyone, and to reprove all the impious concerning all the works of their impiety, by which they have acted impiously, and concerning all the harsh things that impious sinners have spoken against God.”
16 Ce sont eux qui murmurent, se plaignent, marchent selon leurs convoitises, leur bouche dit des chosesorgueilleuses, ils flattent par intérêt.	16 These ones are complaining murmurers, walking according to their own desires. And their mouth is speaking arrogance, admiring persons for the sake of gain.
17 Mais vous, très chers, rappelez-vous ce qui a été prédit par les apôtres de notre Seigneur Jésus Christ.	17 But as for you, most beloved, be mindful of the words which have been foretold by the Apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ,
18 Ils vous disaient: "A la fin du temps, il y aura des moqueurs, marchant selon leurs convoitises impies."	18 who declared to you that, in the end time, there would arrive mockers, walking according to their own desires, in impieties.
19 Ce sont eux qui créent des divisions, ces animaux, ces êtres "psychiques" qui n'ont pas d'esprit.	19 These are the ones who segregate themselves; they are animals, not having the Spirit.
20 Mais vous, très chers, vous édifiant sur votre foi très sainte, priant dans l'Esprit Saint,	20 But you, most beloved, are building yourselves up by your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,
21 gardez-vous dans la charité de Dieu, prêts à recevoir la miséricorde de notre Seigneur Jésus Christ pourla vie éternelle.	21 keeping yourselves in the love of God, and anticipating the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
22 Les uns, ceux qui hésitent, cherchez à les convaincre;	22 So certainly, reprove them, after they have been judged.
23 les autres, sauvez-les en les arrachant au feu; les autres enfin, portez-leur une pitié craintive, en haïssantjusqu'à la tunique contaminée par leur chair.	23 Yet truly, save them, seizing them from the fire. And have mercy on others: in fear, hating even that which is of the flesh, the defiled garment.
24 A celui qui peut vous garder de la chute et vous présenter devant sa gloire, sans reproche, dansl'allégresse,	24 Then, to him who has the power to keep you free from sin and to present you, immaculate, with exultation, before the presence of his glory at the advent of our Lord Jesus Christ,
25 à l'unique Dieu, notre Sauveur par Jésus Christ notre Seigneur, gloire, majesté, force et puissance avanttout temps, maintenant et dans tous les temps! Amen.	25 to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord: to him be glory and magnificence, dominion and power, before all ages, and now, and in every age, forever. Amen.
