1 Amoncelez-vous, amoncelez-vous, ô nation sans honte,	1 Assemble, be gathered together, O people not worthy to be loved.

4 Oui, Gaza va être abandonnée, Ashqelôn sera une solitude. Ashdod, en plein midi on la chassera;Eqrôn sera déracinée.	4 For Gaza will be destroyed, and Ashkelon will be in the desert; they will expel Ashdod at midday, and Ekron will be eradicated.
5 Malheur aux habitants de la ligue de la mer, à la nation des Kerétiens! Voici la parole de Yahvécontre vous: "Canaan, terre des Philistins, je vais te faire périr faute d'habitants!"	5 Woe to you who inhabit the coast of the sea, you people of perdition. 6 La ligue de la mer sera réduite en pâtures, en pacages pour les bergers et en enclos pour lesmoutons.	6 And the coastline of the sea will be a resting place for shepherds and a fence line for cattle.
7 Et la ligue appartiendra au reste de la maison de Juda; ils y mèneront paître; le soir, ils sereposeront au milieu des maisons d'Ashqelôn; car Yahvé leur Dieu les visitera et il accomplira leur restauration.	7 And it will be the line of him who will remain from the house of Judah. 8 J'ai entendu l'insulte de Moab et les sarcasmes des fils d'Ammon, lorsqu'ils insultaient mon peupleet se glorifiaient de leur territoire.	8 I have heard about the disgrace of Moab and the blasphemies of the sons of Ammon, by which they have defamed my people and have been magnified beyond their borders.
9 C'est pourquoi, par ma vie! - oracle de Yahvé Sabaot, Dieu d'Israël: "Moab deviendra commeSodome et les fils d'Ammon comme Gomorrhe: un domaine de chardons, un monceau de sel, une solitude àjamais. 10 Ce sera le prix de leur orgueil, puisqu'ils ont proféré des insultes et des paroles hautaines contrele peuple de Yahvé Sabaot.	10 This will come upon them for their arrogance, because they have blasphemed and have been magnified over the people of the Lord of hosts.
11 Terrible sera Yahvé pour eux. Quand il aura supprimé tous les dieux de la terre, elles seprosterneront devant lui, chacune sur son propre sol, toutes les îles des nations.	11 The Lord will be a horror over them, and he will reduce all the gods of the earth. And they will adore him, each man from his own place, all the islands of the Gentiles.
12 Vous aussi, Ethiopiens: "Ils seront transpercés de mon épée."	12 Even so, you Ethiopians, you will be executed by my sword.
13 Il lèvera la main contre le Nord et réduira Assur en ruines; il fera de Ninive une solitude, terrearide comme le désert.	13 And he will extend his hand over the North, and he will destroy Assur. And he will set the Beautiful in the wilderness, and in an impassable place, and like a desert.
14 Au milieu d'elle se reposeront les troupeaux; toutes sortes de bêtes: même le choucas, même lehérisson gîteront la nuit parmi ses sculptures; le hibou poussera son cri à la fenêtre et le corbeau sur le seuil, carle cèdre a été arraché.	14 And flocks will lie down in its midst, all the beasts of the Gentiles. And the pelican and the hedgehog will stay at its threshold; the voice of the singing bird will be at the window, with the crow above its threshold, for I will diminish her strength.
15 C'est la cité joyeuse qui trônait avec assurance, celle qui disait en son coeur: "Moi, sans égale!"Comment est-elle devenue un objet de stupeur, un repaire pour les bêtes? Quiconque passe auprès d'elle siffle etagite la main.	15 This is the glorious city, dwelling in trust, which said in her heart, “I am and there is no one other than me.” How has she become a lair for beasts in the desert?
