Livre d'Osée 7

JERUSALEM	CATHOLIC PUBLIC DOMAIN
1 Alors que je veux guérir Israël, se dévoilent la faute d'Ephraïm et les méchancetés de Samarie; car ilspratiquent le mensonge, le voleur entre dans la maison, une bande sévit au-dehors.	1 When I was willing to heal Israel, the iniquity of Ephraim was discovered, and the malice of Samaria, for they had been manufacturing lies. And the thief steals from inside, the robber from outside.
2 Et ils ne disent pas en leur coeur que je me souviens de toute leur méchanceté! Maintenant leursoeuvres les enserrent, elles sont devant ma face.	2 And, so that they may not say in their hearts that I am the one who has called to mind all of their wickedness: now their own inventions have encircled them. These things have happened in my presence.
3 Par leur méchanceté ils égaient le roi, et par leurs mensonges, les chefs.	3 The king has rejoiced at their wickedness, and the leaders have rejoiced in their lies.
4 Tous sont adultères, ils sont comme un four brûlant que le boulanger cesse d'attiser depuis qu'il a pétrila pâte jusqu'à ce qu'elle ait levé.	4 They are all adulterers; like an oven heating up before baking, the city rested a little before the leaven was mixed in, until the whole was leavened.
5 Au jour de notre roi, les chefs se rendent malades par la chaleur du vin, et lui tend la main auxmoqueurs	5 On the day of our king, the leaders began to be mad with wine; he extended his hand with those who fabricate illusions.
6 quand ils s'approchent. Dans leur complot, leur coeur est semblable à un four; toute la nuit leur colèresommeille, au matin elle brûle comme un feu flamboyant;	6 For they have used their heart like an oven, while he laid snares for them; he slept through the night baking them, and by morning he himself was heated like a burning fire.
7 tous sont échauffés comme un four, ils dévorent leurs juges. Tous leurs rois sont tombés. Pas und'entre eux qui crie vers moi!	7 They have all become hot like an oven, and they have devoured their judges. All their kings have fallen. There is no one who calls to me among them.
8 Ephraïm se mêle aux peuples, Ephraïm est une galette qu'on n'a pas retournée.	8 Ephraim himself has been mingled with the nations. Ephraim has become like bread, baked under ashes, that has not been turned over.
9 Des étrangers dévorent sa vigueur, et lui ne le sait pas! Même des cheveux blancs parsèment sa tête, etlui ne le sait pas!	9 Strangers have devoured his strength, and he did not know it. And grey hairs also have spread across him, and he is ignorant of it.
10 (L'orgueil d'Israël témoigne contre lui; et ils ne reviennent pas vers Yahvé leur Dieu, avec tout cela,ils ne le cherchent pas!)	10 And the pride of Israel will be brought low before his face, for they have not returned to the Lord their God, nor have they sought him in all of this.
11 Ephraïm est une colombe naïve, sans cervelle; ils appellent l'Egypte, ils vont en Assur,	11 And Ephraim has become like a pigeon that has been led astray, not having a heart; for they called upon Egypt, they went to the Assyrians.
12 où qu'ils aillent, je déploierai sur eux mon filet, comme l'oiseau du ciel je les ferai tomber je lespunirai à cause de leur méchanceté.	12 And when they will set out, I will spread my net over them. I will pull them down like the birds of the sky; I will cut them down in accordance with the reports of their meetings.
13 Malheur à eux, parce qu'ils ont fui loin de moi! Ruine sur eux, parce qu'ils m'ont été infidèles! Et moi,je devrais les libérer, quand eux profèrent contre moi des mensonges?	13 Woe to them, for they have withdrawn from me. They will waste away because they have been dishonest with me. And I redeemed them, and they have spoken lies against me.
14 Ils ne crient pas vers moi du fond du coeur quand ils se lamentent sur leurs couches; pour du blé et duvin nouveau, ils se lacèrent, mais ils se rebellent contre moi.	14 And they have not cried out to me in their heart, but they howled on their beds. They have obsessed about wheat and wine; they have withdrawn from me.
15 Et moi, j'avais fortifié leur bras, mais contre moi ils méditent le mal.	15 And I have educated them, and I have reinforced their arms; and they have imagined evil against me.
16 Ils se tournent vers ce qui n'est rien, ils sont comme un arc trompeur. Leurs chefs tomberont sousl'épée à cause de la fureur de leur langue, et l'on se moquera bien d'eux au pays d'Egypte...	16 They returned so that they might be without a yoke. They have become like a deceitful bow. Their leaders will fall by the sword because of the madness of their words. This is their derision in the land of Egypt.
